Asked for me by my fist name. Then asked if I am still using Cingular as my cell phone provider. I said No. They hung up. Who are they?

I too received a call similar to this. Anyone else have this issue?

I got call from them a couple of nights in a row right about the same time - about 8:40pm central time and didn't pick up because I didn't recognize it. I have no idea who it was.

I just got a call from them too but did not pick it up as I did not recognize the name or number.  My caller ID said it was from Flake-Wilkerson.  I too have Cingular service but I do not pick up unknown calls.

I received a call and didn't answer because I didn't know the number.  Any idea's?

I received a call from this number on my cell and they said they were from ATT/Cingular and asked for my son. He is grown and does not live here and has never used my cell number. Before I could ask how she had my number she hung up. I called the number back and a recording came on and said Flake Wilkerson, a market research call center for telecommunications companies doing surveys. I would still like to know how they have my number and his name. Very strange!

Persons have called from 615.886.7224 repeatedly for the past 2 weeks.  I receive approximately 2 calls per day.  When I answer, they just hang up.  When I call back (to ask them to remove me from their list and to STOP CALLING) I receive an automated message stating they are a market research company (White, Wilkes Marketing Research Company??)and a representative will call me back soon.  Then it disconnects.  I want my information removed immediately and I'd tell them myself except they don't even bother to say anything when I do pick up.  This is VERY frustrating.

i just received a call from this #. I too didn't pick it up because i didn't know the #. I have Verizon if that makes a difference. I usually wait for a voice mail but i received none so i am not going to bother anymore with it unless they call again.

I got a call from 1-615-886-7224 on my cell phone. They said they were from Cingular and calling back to check up on a support call I made earlier. I did call Cingular that day for help so everything seemed normal. He asked if I was on a cell phone and then asked for another number he could call me back on if we got disconnected. I gave him my office number and he thanked me and wanted to say goodbye. I interrupted him and said "don't you have something you want to ask me?" since it was supposed to be a checkup call. He said he didn't want to use up my cell phone minutes and would call later and he hung up. Never heard from them since. The whole conversation was very odd, which is why I came to this site.

I got a call from this number and didn't answer it because I didn't know the number. Now after reading this I have a better idea.

I got a two calls from this number 615-886-7224.  It says Tennessee call.  When I say hello that don't say anything.  I won't answer anymore.  They will talk to my answering machine for this point on.

It was 2:45 pm when i got the call and they hung up. I looked on my caller ID and searched Whitepages and it said "unknown caller" and "this caller does not use verison". I searched again and it came up as Nashville, Tennesse and three names. If you google the number, the results are

Flake Wilkerson is a telemarketing firm base here in Little Rock.

This number called my office line.
I answered by identifying myself and my office division.
The caller apologized and said they were doing market survey for residential customers and told me to have a nice day and goodbye.
I sounded wierd to me, so I googled the number and come to this forum.

Same as everyone else, ask for owne, put them on hold and they waited maybe 1 min then hung up, tried calling back and the number does not work

Called twice left no message first time - I picked up second time & heard background noise but nobody spoke

A call from this number came while I was on the phone with someone else.  I checked this site to learn the identity.  Apparently, it is a marketing number.    Usually we do not answer the line if we "question"  the identity of the caller.

    It is  nice that we can "screen"  the calls in this manner  and
not be bothered.

I also got a call from them 2 days ago, my answer machine picked up and recoreded a minute of background noise

They called at 8p CDT.  We didn't answer, I googled the number and found this forum.  I hate telemarketers although I probably would rather them hang up than try to keep me on the phone to sell me something.  Speaking of Cingular - know what the cingular office in California did?  Talked me into upgrading my phone and going for a new 2-year contract.  I selected the Nokia 2610 because my old 6010 gets the best reception of any of the phones my kids use.  They charged me $19.99 for the phone, then $14.02 for tax - supposedly because they had to charge tax on the original price of the phone.  After 28 days, I decided to return the phone, while back home in TX.  The Tx office has no idea why California would charge $14 for tax on a $20 charge so I only received a refund of $21.00.  That was yesterday and I'm going to try to deal with Cingular to get the other $12 back or i'll dispute it with my visa company.  Hope they don't pull this on you, too.

I just received a call from this number as well.  It seemed weird that the individual said it was a follow up call but asked me why I called Cingular and how many times.  I was expecting something like "was the representative friendly?, etc.  I answered him in very vague statements since he didn't properly identify himself and then typed this number in my search engine just to find this forum.
