This number is a cell phone, not a legit business, trying to get people to sign up for 250 free magazines, and they will randomly give me $250.00 worth of gift cards. The problem is they keep sending the magazines even after you unsubscribe from the "free issues". They do not send anything worth value, then they call and threaten your credit using profanity if you don't give them a credit card to charge. They call themselves "publishers"

This # keeps calling me and hanging up.

I received a call from this number this morning and no one said anything they just held the phone and said nothing and i hung up it was very creepy. I hate this i hope it never happens again!

So as long as they don't get your card number they cannot do any damage even if they send "free" stuff, right?

Depends on what "damage" means. They sent free stuff so they have your address. Can they create and sell your account to debt collectors? Can they report your bad account to credit bureaus? Best thing to do is not to interact with them in any way. Seems to me if it's their modus operandi to send you free stuff up front without demanding a card from you up front, they may already have a proven way to hassle/extort/blackmail a card out of you sooner or later. No one will send free stuff without knowing for sure they will get your $$$ in the end. Stay away.
