Answered and man said, "Sorry, wrong number."    Caller ID said "Police Protection"

I have repeatedly asked to be removed from this call roster and received nothing but rude response.

Receive numerous calls from this number. Have even put greeting on answer machine to be removed from call list.  Will need to answer sometime to verbally tell them to remove my name and number from call list.  

I keep calls from this number. I don't answer any calls I don't recall anymore. Asked to be taken off the do not call list doesn't work.

We have received NUMEROUS calls from this number.  The gentleman that called, informed me after I stated politely that we were on the DNC registry and to please remove our contact number, that it did not apply to them, as they were a non-profit, Fraternal Order of Police Protection??  Not sure that their best bet is to use 'wireless caller' on a caller ID to solicit but advised him that we have given in the past and will continue to do so, but we NEVER do over the phone, nor internet, both due to identity theft increasing as well as having the check for accounting purposes.  If you have a provider that allows you to label calls coming into your home, I suggest changing the name from "wireless caller" to fundraising.  Also, if you have registered with DNC, please go to the FCC.gov's link and report EVERY violation, as they will eventually get the hint.  We used to get calls DAILY from "lower your credit card rate", but once I submitted a complaint-the end. ;)  Good luck, everyone.  I am all about giving to police officers and firefighters; I would just prefer that they MAIL the info, rather than harass via phone.  I know they are desperate for funds, as budgets are screwed up by city leaders across the nation.  

My wife has said her name so a rude male will ask for her when i say she's not in he hung up rudely.
Today he called again and same thing rudely hangs up before I can ask a question. Some police protection find crap. Now that I know it's not my state I'll let his a** have it next time.

didn't answer but have gotten this call numerous times over the years but have never answered.  Son-in-law a policeman and he took the number and said he would investigate but I doubt if it is really a call from police.

I talked to this guy & he is very RUDE & PUSHY.  I finally had to hand up on him. The ID showed "Police Protection" & he wanted a handout.  I do not trust him.  I told him I only give to local departments.  This guy needs to be banned. I really think he is a scam.

Have received numerous calls from this number, won't leave a message when I don't answer and when I do they ask for some one else and I have told them repeatedly that person does not live at this number and if they do not take this number off the call list I will turn them in.  We are on a do not call registry and I am about feed up with getting collection calls for someone else.

Local police in Nashville, TN, have advised us they are not connected with this so-called Police Protection Fund. Screams scam.

This is a scam

I too have received many calls from this scammer.  He was pushy & rude. I have talked to a friend who is a policeman & he said this is not connected to the police.  The "Police Protective Fund" is listed as the 20th worse charity. Very little collected goes to the charity. Start reporting these scammers (per my police friend).
