I received a call from this number, but when I answered I got no answer. I called back and was told that extension #7000 had not been activated; if I wanted to leave a message press 2 and I wanted to disconnect press 8.I would appreciate an answer when I called back. I have children living in Nashville and a call like that at 8:30 at night can be frightening.

phone rings, I answer, call is disconnected. I called the recording and an answering machine said it was "Heather" and she is part of Lipscomb phone-a-thon but the recording did not sound professional. I left a message.

This number is the Lipscomb University Annual Giving calling campaign number. I called and reached Heather/Manager on the phone. The program is legit and on campus. The program is the University's annual giving Phonathon. A group of Lipcomb students are hired to make these calls. If you want your number off the call list-you can ask a student to take it off the list and you will stop receiving calls.

This number called my house and woke me up at 8:30 at night! The nerve of these people to call so incredibly late at night! I mean I usually stay up way past 12 hovering over the phone to wait for my overbearing kids who are moved out of the house to call from some random number I've never seen in my life. I mean seriously, I soiled my pants the last time someone called me past 9! I also left a message poking fun at this "Heather" who obviously has no formal training on how to record a voice mail; at least to my professional grade standards (I travel around the country training people on how to record "professional" voice mail messages). I am so relieved to have found fellow concerned citizens like yourselves who spend their valuable time sifting through online message boards about telephone numbers. You people truly are the heart of America. And for your fine service to our country I thank you for keeping the streets safe and our telephone lines safer.

You travel around the country training people on how to leave professional voice mail messages?  Really?
