I called Sprint after this number showed up on my caller id.  They say that it is an unlisted number located in central Nashville, TN.  They were not able to tell me anything else but said that they have gotten many complaints about it.  It is a computerized calling device which evidently "confirms" that your cell number is valid and uses "reverse caller ID" to identify who owns your telephone.  See, in the old days, you couldn't get the owner or ID for a cell phone.  Now the telemarketers have found a way to find out if the phone is "live" and then get the reverse ID information on you.  Basically, no more privacy of cell phones like it used to be.

The number is from the Franklin County Jail.................I just got a panic call from a long lost friend!!!!
