- Fran| 10 repliesI have received 8 calls from this number, or non-number as the case may be, in the last 2 days. There is not information with the number. I refuse to answer and let it go to the answering machine and they leave no message. I never answer if there name doesn't come up with the number.

- me too| 3 repliesDo Not Call. Another example of a government program that is as effective as the congress itself....
- Sandy| 5 repliesI just had a call from this number and I decided to answer and it was about credit cards and help with interest. I pressed 1 and they did answer saying they could help and when I said I had no balance on my cards the guy told me to eat s--t and die. All I wanted was for them to leave me alone since I have no debt. How can I ever get them to stop????
- Caller: Help with debt
- DeniseI received a call from this number today and my Caller ID said "Michigan Call." There was no message left.
I got nowhere with the Phone Company, the Do Not Call List, the FTC or the BBB. Although they are good companies they are not able to stop all these callers. So I thought it was time to take matters into my own hands.
This will help all of your problems. I bought one of these the other day and rarely get phone calls from unwanted numbers now. It's called Call Blocker. It's worth the investment to keep your stress level down from these callers. I just blocked this number on my machine and now they can no longer call me. Here is the website where I bought mine.

- mikeo2297 replies to Fran| 9 repliesWouldn't it be easier to answer and say your not interested and ask to be put on their don't call list? Why are you so afraid to answer? just curious.
- Battle Creek| 2 repliesSimilar to all of the comments above, I answered the call and it was about lowering interest rates. I do have credit cards, and they told me exactly how many cards of what kinds I have. That right there made me wonder what the heck is going on. The guy proceeded to ask me to verify my account numbers, that he had them right in front of him; I then told him that he could read me the account number and I would tell him if they were right. After a minute of arguing, he then started swearing at me, saying very improper things, and calling me names.

- Mike-in-MD replies to Battle Creek| 1 replyGo and obtain a copy of your credit report. it should tell you who has made enquiries on it. Your credit card accounts are listed there by name but without numbers as is your banking information. This is one way scammers obtain enough information to sound credible to trick you into supplying the rest. Once they have actual numbers, you have been had.
- Battle Creek replies to Mike-in-MDThat is very helpful, thank you for the advice. I know that certain types of cards all start with the same number, which is all they said they could tell me, just the first number. I will deffinatly look into. Thank you again.
- AG replies to mikeo2297| 1 replyI did answer today and was greeted with a recording telling me this is my second and final notice to lower my credit card interest rate and to press 1. I pressed 1 so that I could ask them to take my number off of their call list, but the representative who answered refused. I insisted, and he informed me that his call was not a solicitation, but rather a service from my visa/mastercard company. I asked him which company and he named 3. I asked which one of the companies was he calling on behalf for me, and he asked me, "what the f*ck are you talking about?" No joke. So I asked one more time for him to take my number off of his list, and he just kept repeating that "this isn't a solicitation call". The number is 616-000-0000.
