New one for me.  Calling me in Calif. for a security system for my home and they are calling from Michigan?  I got plenty of security on my home but wish I could get something better to keep this kind of calls from coming through to me.

Same thing just happened to me. These robo calls should be illegal and against the law. They need to be reported to police.

Caller ID said Local Ranking.  616 area code is not local to me. No message left. The number is spoofed.  Consumers Union has a sight were people can sign a petition to get the phone companies to filter out these robocalls before they get to us.  https://consumersunion.org/end-robocalls/

They called; didn't recognize caller ID so I didn't answer (I never do).  They didn't leave message.  In recent weeks I've gotten a growing number of these kinds of calls, supposedly from all over the US (places like Indianola IA, Batson TX, Harrisonburg VA, on and on  --- I don't know anyone at any of these locations).  I'm sure these are all spoofed and they're probably all the same calling party.   With all the spoofing of caller ID going on, I wonder what Verizon would do if everyone canceled their Caller ID on the phone bill - it's getting to be pretty pointless.

Called late this afternoon.  Left no message.  I don't know anyone in area code 616.

Payday loan place.

They left me a message. One of those Payday Loan places. My wife investigated one of these about 4 years ago, but interest rate limit laws in our state make us ineligible, even if we were still interested. Don't waste your time answering, in the hopes that you can choose their option to "remove your number from their calling list" ... I've tried it at least a dozen times, and they still call. I think they have a separate call list foe each of the numbers they call from, and that's a LOT of numbers. Very annoying. The contact I created to block them, has 10's of numbers associated with it.
