I got a call from this number and they said that I won a free 2 year membership to powerhouse gym. It was apparently something I was entered into at a D&W, Family Fare or Great Day Food store. Really shady and random.

An Andrea and left a voice message regarding winning a 37 inch HDTV from an contest entry I supposedly filled out a few months ago.  I had 48hrs to call 616-447-9575.  It's apparently an unpublished Grand Rapids number. Sorry Andrea, but I'm not biting this phishing scam.

I got a call from them and stayed on the line for about 3 minutes. It seemed really suspicious as I have a grand rapids number but never go to grand rapids and surely never entered a sweepstakes. Can anything happen from me talking to them on the phone?

    no way total scam
this number just called my phone and said " this is nicole and i wanted to talk to you about a 42 inch tv you entered to win."  I said that I did not enter they must have the wrong number. She said Ok and hung up.  It was very shady and the person sounded nervous.  Don't give them any information

Just an fyi for everybody on this - I did enter a drawing for a TV at Powerhouse gym on Plainfield in Grand Rapids. I got this call too, from a Nicole saying I won a consolation prize. The drawing I entered - I entered over a year ago. If you were a member there, you could enter the drawing multiple times by giving them names and phone numbers of people they would then call to try to solicite gym memberships to. They are not very professional about this and it's not a very clean gym, so I would not recommend contacting them.

No, don't worry, it's just a local gym that is very unprofessional in their advertising & soliciting. I actually got a two year membership there, but after less than a year I was so dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the gym and the behavior of its staff that I quit going.

I NEVER enter any contest so when they called today I knew it was a scam. I told her I wasn't interested and she asked if I wanted to give the prize to someone else and I told her she could have it. LOL  Why can these people call when I am on the do not call list?

I just rcvd the same type of voicemail on my cell & wanted to check it out before calling her back.  I'm glad I did!!  Nicole said that the grand prize flat screen was given away last month & now they were drawing for 25 concelation prize winners, which was me.  She said I had entered this a year ago, which I thought was strange, especially since I don't enter things with my cell #.  Too, why wouldn't they just draw all at the same time & not wait a month.  Sounded fishy.  Thanks everyone for letting me know not to waste my time!

Oh dude, CRAZY... They called me a few months ago and I declined the whole thing-- it was "free," but you still had to pay $8 and just sounded a bit fishy. Today, someone named "Bruce" left a message sounding really phony-excited that I won this prize. "..congratulations, man!" I called them back and the guy said, "Hi, this is Bruce, etc." I said, I think you called me earlier. He was like, yeah I did, what was your name? I told him and he said I won this 2 year gold membership and was eligable for some "bigscreen tv" drawing. He was really pushy about me coming in tomorrow for a 5 minute tour of their gym. When I said I'd schedule another time maybe he was pushy about me writing down some winning code for calling them in the future. I said, Couldn't I just tell them my name like I did just now? He said, Well I only knew your name cause I called and I have your name here in front of me. If someone else answers, they wouldn't have it. He gave me the code and said, "Be sure to say Jason so they know you talked to me." I said Jason? He said yeah. I said, I thought your name was Bruce? Super long pause!! He said he didn't. I said, yes you did. He said, "Oh, I was just talking to Bruce here and got confused, sorry." BOGUS!!! I came on here to see if anyone else had something similar. I think I might call them back to get "Bruce" to admit his name again to me.

"Managers" refused to give out last names and were condescending when I told them to put me on the DNC list and that I'd read poor reviews regarding their telemarketing. SCAM.

False info... I entered a contest for plasma TV (I never do that) and I won a consolation prize.  No organization name given, just Nicole. With claim code.  I hate these calls.

JUST had the same call!  So glad I checked on this before calling them back.

Voicemail was from Nicole stating I entered a drawing for a TV last year and the grand prize was given away in December, but they're giving away consolation prizes.

Thank you all who shared this info!

I received a call from Nicole saying i was the runner up to a big screen contest i entered.  I belonged to this gym, it's called the Strength Beyond Fitness gym on plainfield behind the wendy's and taco bell near 96.   they are total scam artists and really shady people.  I quit the gym due to how dirty both the gym and the people there are.   do not call them back for any reason, or they will hound you and keep calling.   today nicole just called me again even though I never called them back at all.   don't waste your time!

Same message, same Nicole, same "you entered a drawing for a flat-screen plasma TV last year and you didn't win the drawing that was held last month but you've been selected for a consolation prize so call us and use this claim number."  Good thing I checked here, but it bugs me that these people have my cell number.  It's supposed to be on the DNC list too.

I've gotten a couple calls from this number claiming I won a free 2yr membership for 2 people.  A guy named Jason is the one leaving the messages, and I'm not calling back.
