I got a call from this number with the caller id "Lower Interest". Answered and they said they were from the Qualification Department for Visa and Mastercard and also service Discover and American Express. Asked if I carried a balance on my credit card, told them no. He said they'd take me off the list. I don't think there is any such thing as a qualification department for Visa and Mastercard as the cards are issued by individual banks who have their own standards. Sounds like a scam.

These people are relentless. They call nearly every other day. We are on the "Do Not Call" list. You can't talk to anyone because it is a recording. We pay our cards off every month, They have called AT LEAST three times in the past nine days. How can I get them to STOP???

they call me every other week. i decided to stay on hold to "hear" their "offer". when a rep picked up and asked if i called about an offer, i said very calmly and politely that i am calling about the calls that keep coming through when they say "this is your second and final notice" ...he hung up. I called the number back and the 2nd option is to be removed from their list, but we will see. they are NOT legit! they ARE a scam

They call 3 times a week.  When you stay on and ask to be removed, they just hang up.

Same thing,  I stay on and asked to be removed and they hang up.  Some credit card scam.  I really hate these people.  I reported it to DoNotCall, but I do not expect any results.

funny, because i had just loaned a neighbor my phone so it went to the service.  they left a message stating something about "qualification for obama stimulus" and "final notice"--i assume this is more of the same balance transfer telemarketing for credit cards.  i get these calls often and seems as though others do.

I called the number back and surprisingly there's an automated menu option to put your number on their do not call list. Hopefully it works!

Your effort is worthless.  They won't take you off it, and because you didn't report it to the donotcall.gov site, nothing will ever be done.  Every once in awhile one of these jerks gets banged by the Feds or by a State.  But, nothing will be done if it is not reported.  Thanks for nothing!

Right on! I called the State Atty Generals office in MO. Talked to a very intelligent guy and he explained that these goof balls are likely foreign callers. They apparently get a US number to route through so you can call them back to confirm your number.

There is little the govt can due to them out of the US. The only way these a$$ holes gain is the few folks who fall for their scheme and drain their credit cards. They are correct the will affect your interest rate but not how you want.

People work to hard for their money and credit to put up with these a$$ holes. It still may cost you even if your card has fraud protection, another story to some degree on a debit card.

Same old saying, if it is to good to be true it probably is a scam.

Of course you won't see any results from the DNC. There is nothing they can do.  They are scammers. The don't care about the do not call registry or any other laws.

And to think that this is only one tiny thing compared to all of the much bigger problems this government is not addressing and even creating. Within the time frame of a single generation, America is being destroyed and everyone stands by and watches it happen.

I hung up because I suspected fraud.

Caller I.D. says "Holland, Michigan". I have a niece who lives in Ft. Gratiot, which is on the other side of the state, so I know this isn't HER. I picked up, hung up and have blocked that number/

These [***] call time and again.  I hate them!  I have reported them to the state and federal governments, but still they call.  I would almost rather have no telephone at all than to be summoned to a ring and hear their recorded b.s.!

THIS IS A SCAM!! Do not answer your phone or talk to these people. The auto remove function tells them this is a valid number and they will continue to call plus other numbers will also call you. The Do Not Call is worthless. File a complaint here http://www.fcc.gov/complaints This isn't much better, but at least you occasionally get an email back telling you they will check your complaint.

This number comes up in my caller ID again and again.  "Final notice"???  Right....this time I pressed "1" and talked to a snippy broad who said "do you know why you are getting this call?  when you sign up for a credit card you agree to Terms of Service that allow us to call you when you pay on time to make you offers."  I told her to take me off the mailing list..."ma'am there are no mailing lists."  I asked what credit card she is talking about, she said that it could be any card, they are all from the same Service Center.  Again I said take me off your mailing list, she said "again there is no mailing list" and I hung up because I was going to get super-rude in about one second.  I am so annoyed by these constant calls.

Just missed a call from 616-613-3266. Looked it up and found this forum. Had I been here I'd pick up the phone and hold down the # key on the phone pad. I got this tip from a friend some years ago and have been using this technique. Of course there is no way for me to find out if it in fact works but what it is supposed to do is to confuse their automatic voice system and it might remove your number from their system or something to that effect.
