Just got this call now.  It was a recorded message asking for our support of a local candidate up for election.

Oops...forgot to note that I'm in PA, though, so I'm sure the Michigan number was just some telemarketing phone bank that's used by anyone and everyone across the country.

It's an ad for watching PBS this week regarding the general election.

This call was from PA Gov. Ed Rendell who is apologizing for all the political calls left on my answering machine.  And since he was calling anyway, he also asked that I vote YES on the clean water initiative.   Ohhhhhhhh, that waskly wabbit Wendell!

Called me several times, starting to bug me.

i just recieved a call from this number for the same thing...it said that it was governor ed randell....why would it be him  and show up as a michigan number...its someone prolly trying to hack the phone line or something...i am going to report it and prolly call the governor's offoce tomorrow and let them know about it.....i live in pa....i can not wait until these elections are over with but then after they are done, they will thinik of something else i am sure!!! AND TO THINK, I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!!!

I agree - if you are on the DO NOT CALL LIST your name/number should not be availble to tele-politicians who are essentially marketing their candidate!

accept the DO NOT CALL lists only applies to "for-profit" marketing. Not-profits such as 527 and 501 groups are not affected by the Do Not Call legislation

I received a call from this number left no message. And I didnt call it back. Im just tired of all these stupid nonsense phone calls that I keep getting when I am on the do not call list.

My call waiting beeped while I was on a call with a friend.  I didn't take the call figuring, who ever it was could leave a voice mail.  No voice mail . . . so I looked up my missed "missed calls" log and looked up the number on the web.  Surprise, Surprise, Surprise . . . and so close to the Primarys, too.

Where does it read in tha Constitution, Federal; PA; or otherwise that these political calls have a right to invade citizen's privacy ?

I received a very nice call asking me to not support a candidate for city council in Allentown, PA. I had forgotten about the how bad the candidate was, so I appreciated the call.

I admit I'm the moron who launched an anonymous smear campaign against Allentown City Council candidate Lou Hershman. True, I broke the election laws, but Mayor Pawlowski has promised to pay my bail.
