has called me many times, and no one is on the line when I answer.

calls multiple times a day never answers called back to a busy number

yep calls every other day, no answer call back busy.

I have gotten 2 calls so far today.  I haven't answered either of them and they don't leave a message.

Second time this number called today. I answered the second call. When I said hello, I heard a phone ring and a woman asked for a woman I've never heard of.

I've gotten two calls in the last hour and when I answer only Musak is playing.  When I called the number, it rings once and immediately sounds a busy signal.

These people are driving me crazy- if you answer, there is nothing but music. If you don't answer, or even if you do, they continue calling and gclay is correct, if you call back, one ring and then a busy. I am reporting this to the authorities on Monday morning as it has been a repeated and annoying issue.
It could be a way to keep someone on the phone for a specific period of time for some reason- beware and do not answer!

This is the Yellow Pages calling to solicit an add in their directory.  Since the number called is listed with NO CALL LIST how do they continue to call

Foreign sounding individual asked for owner...then another man immediately came on said hello and  then the phone line went dead.

I got something similar to Fran - a foreign accent, asking for the owner or manager.  They've called twice today, and both times I've told them we have no such person here.  Then he asked for our corporate office - honestly, how silly is that?!  He didn't seem to believe me when I told him we had no such thing, and he wanted the personal phone number for our president.  No thanks.  Wouldn't leave a message, wouldn't say where he was calling from.  Do I smell a scam?  I think so!

Just had a call from this number. When I answer, a foreign voice is on the other end asking to speak to the owner about business decisions. When asked what kind of decisions, she says "Business decisions!"...wow.

They hung up when put on hold.
