I answered the phone and got just air and then a recording said thank you good bye.  called ATT and was told its a scam of someone telling you, you have a virus on your computer and need your info to access it to fix it.  that way they can invade your computer and screw you over.  I'm blocking the number off my phone.

616-850-3141 = caller id = Grand Haven MI = keeps calling, never leaves a message, robo call = I am blocking and so should you!

Got another call today informing me that the caller was from technical support and was calling because someone tried to reset my computer password.

Said they were from Microsoft and someone was accessing my computer from other areas. The man spoke with an Indian accent . I tried calling number and they said it was disconnected.

Just received a call from 616-850-3141.  Very poor connection, sounded like Skype or VoIP with poor quality and humming. Male with a strong eastern (Indian/[***]) accent said he was from Microsoft Elevated Technical Support. Then he tried to convince me that my WIndows computer had been compromised by someone attempting to log on to it with the wrong password. Really? Hm, I'm sitting right in front of my computer,and I'm logged on. Tell me, sir...what Windows operating system am I using that has been compromised? Silence. Stuttering. Finally a poor reply stating he only knows I use a Windows computer, and that's all the information he has. Well, I called BS on Mr. Windows Tech Support. No knowledge of my IP address, OS, my logon name, or what password was being used. So I had a little fun with him, wasting a few minutes of his precious time away from his darling goat. I then advised that my next phone call was going to be the Federal Trade Commission, and advised him what he can do to his goat. My Saturday is now complete!

Really how stupid did this guy think i was? He asked me if I was in front of my computer i said yes which i was not.He said push this button then push another button. I told him now what i don't see what your talking about? He asked are you pushing the right buttons? My reply was sure am Pushed your buttons. Excuse me what do you mean? Go screw yourself you damn scam artists. America's aren't that damn dumb.You goat f*************

We get calls from this number at least twice a day, when we answer they hang up

This number called twice. The second time they called, I answered just to see who it was. A man with an obviously fake Indian accent tried to tell me my computer was being hacked. I asked, "which one" to which he stuttered and then tried to convince me it was something to do with my internet. After I gave him sh*t for a few minutes about me not being sure which computer he was talking about, he asked me to get onto the computer and once I told him I couldn't because I was driving (actually I was sitting in a parking lot just leaving work) he then promptly hung up. Scam number. Added to block list.

thanks guys... I was looking up this number and I received the same calls to change my password on my google account. The person had like an indian accent and he knew my gmail but needed me to change the password over the phone with him and he wanted me to change it right away when I got the chance...Scam Artisit..

Called me while I'm driving and told me something wrong with my computer. Told him to call me later and he did.  I asked him how did he know something was wrong with my computer!  Phone call disconnected.  Then called again from an international line starting with 828190. Tried to call but would not go through.  All of a sudden all calls from 616 850 3141 and 828190 wee magically gone from my phone

We have actually spoken to these people and verbally told them do not call us, when we need your assistance, we will call you.  They don't comprehend very well, because they continue to call every month, several times per month, at different times during the day and also on Sunday's, they have even tried calling on different numbers or even a number that shows as a (O) on our caller ID.  They do computer updates or assist you if you need help.  My husband told them we are not interested in buying anything else from them, that when we need their help WE will call.

Why on earth would you call them? What do you need assistance with that they can provide?  Having your identity stolen?
"They do computer updates or assist you if you need help." Um... NO they don't.   They are foreign criminals. You either need to catch a clue or you might work for them.

I get a call from this phone number (626) 850-3141 every day. They call in the morning and since I didn't answer now they call at random times throughout the day.

Like many on this post, I did answer the phone when they first called. It was a man with a heavy East Indian accent who said he was calling from Microsoft because my computer keeps sending their technical support an error message when I try to log into my e-mail. He insisted that they had never gotten this message before from my computer. He asked if I recently reset my password and then instructed me to go to computer to try to reset the password. I told him that I wasn't going to do that and asked him to verify that he works for Microsoft by sending me an e-mail (I did not tell him my e-mail address because he should have it) with a phone number to call back he said he would. He asked why I wanted this information and I told him that it was because I tried calling this phone number back only to get a message telling me that this number is disconnected. When I refused to speak to him further without him sending any verification he hung up on me.

Since then this number is still calling me so I'm going to block it. The area it comes from says MI, USA.

Indian or Pakistani accent,  trying to get access to your computer. Number shows to be located in Grand Haven MI. I called back but says number is disconnected.

These people have called here numerous times and hang up if I don't answer.I finally answered he said there was a problem with my computer.  I told no there isn't.  He wanted to know when I was on it last, I said we at on it every day.  I told him you call here but don't leave a message, why?  He said this was the first time they called.  I said no it isn't, that they call several times a day and don't leave messages.  I told him my caller id says they are in Michgan then when I don't answer, they call again using the private number and I still won't answer.  Today I did because I am tired of them bothering us.  They should get a real job and quit scamming us honest working people.

Didn't answer, but have had these types of calls before.  This is a pretty popular scam.  If they do get you on the line they feed you computer fakery to try to get you to buy something (like telling you to go to task manager and look for processes you don't recognize -- computers have many, many processes and you're unlikely to know what they all do even if you're pretty computer-savvy).  Do NOT trust them!

Hope you've wised up since this post.  Do not EVER take computer assistance from an unsolicited call.  Do not EVER take computer assistance from an unknown party.

I recieved the same call! My daughter was using my computer! Thank heavens I looked up the number and found out it's a scam!!!! I am so livid that they even knew my email!!!! Scary stuff going on in this world😡
I called the number back and it said out of service!!!!
I feel bad for the elderly or people who almost fall for it! I almost did!!!

Same as other notes, from "Microsoft Technical Support", claiming my computer had a virus.  Unfortunately for them, I'm a PC tech; I almost couldn't help myself from laughing as I sarcastically told them I was so scared.  Caller had a heavy "Indian" type accent.  Blocked.
