I was surprised Bank Card Services had no registered complaints.  They call me and most everyone I know once or twice a day whether we pick up or don't pick up.  Recorded message something about credit card fraud protection.  DO NOT answer and punch option of do not call anymore.  I did.  Now they call twice a day every day as late as 9 pm.

Caller ID says GNBR WILD. I did not answer.

Since it's impossible to track down scammers like this, file a complaint with the manager of the number: Lucre, Inc.

The company is bank card services. If you stay on the line, sometimes...someone...will come on the line and try to get your credit card information. They claim to represent Visa and Mastercard. The second you start to ask them to remove your number from their call list they hang up on you mid-sentence! I have reported them to the do not call register....dont know what else I can do. I'm so sick of them calling every day for months

This has got to be stopped.  It is harassment and an invasion of privacy.
I am on the do not call list.  This company calls me every day or so.  When I tried to call them back to request that I be taken off their call list, their phone does not even ring.
How are they getting away with this?

CID said Bank Card Svcs. Called at 10:36 & again at 11:12. I never answer any of these calls. Phone only rings 3-4 times now. They never get an answer but it doesn't stop the calls. They just change their number and try again.

Get caller ID from your phone co.  Most times companies will not leave message if answering machine comes on.  Caller ID showes who is calling or is listed as unknown.  If you don't identify who is calling I don't need to talk to you.

I have been getting these calls about lowering your interest rate for sometime now.

I have recently noticed, the days they do call me, I get another call the same day about getting a free home security system, if they are allowed to put a sign in my yard, Like today, I got  a call from this number, then a couple of hours latter I got a call from 308-210-9052 which another post said it was the home security people.

Must be the same scammer.

They called me today.  They asked about lowering my interest rate.  When I told them I had no credit card debt, they threatened the life of myself and my family. This must be illegal.  The local police department said they would keep an extra watch on my house.  I hope these people realize in my state everyone is extremely well armed (especially since the pheasant season is about to start).   I am cleaning and waiting.  I hope they come soon when my neighbors are getting ready for next week.

So your solution only works for VoIP phones, and only a limiteed number of those. Doesn't help those of us with landlines.

Furthermore, what we really need is a WHITELIST, *not* a blocker.

Used to be, these clowns would call repeatedly from the same number. So using a blocker made sense... you get the first call, block it, and done --- no more bothersome calls!

But lately, they seem to have adapted to call blocking by *never* using the same number more than once. I block the first call, but they don't call a second time from that number. Instead, they call again later in the day (or the next day) using a completely different number.

So there's no longer any way to block them effectively *except* by whitelisting, which is specifying which numbers should be allowed to get through, and blocking *ALL* the rest.

No service or device I've seen can do that.

Rang.  No msg left.  Caller i.d. said GNBR Wild. Land line.

Left me a voice mail about this being my last chance to lower my interest rate before the next billing cycle, blah, blah, blah.  It has been my last chance for months now.  

I thought the Do Not Call people got these scammers but apparently not.

I just tried to report this number to the Do Not Call complaint website and it's shut down.  The Federal Government is not in operation.  

Have a field day, scammers!  You're free to do whatever you like.
