this number calls daily and i don't understand why they hang up on me when i want to know who they are does anyone know????

There is never anyone there. What gives???? very annoying.

i am getting calls from this number constantly .. but they never say anything and when i call back i get nothing ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This time they called and said this was my last chance to get a lower rate on my credit card. I wish I knew who was calling and how they got my number

II have just rec'ed a call from this number as well and like others had mention, no one there.  Called the number back, but no answer.  But I have rec'ed calls before telling me about lowering my credit rate, but I just hang up.  I had asked around about this strange call or telephone number and from my understanding, the caller will ask you to press a number on your key pad (telephone) and for some reason allows them to make long distance calls which are bill to you.  Not sure if this is the case, but if they call again, just hang up.  It no doubt will be one of two things, it would allow them to make long distance charges to your phone or try to obtain your credit card number, be careful.

Just got a call from this number - first one for me (hopefully the last although I am doubtful...)  Didn't answer.  Guessing as we get closer to the Holidays, these types of calls will only increase in frequency...

Just got a call moments ago - it went to the answering machine and was left a vaguely urgent message about lowering my credit card rate without stating who they are .  SCAM!!!!!

Got a call from this number this afternoon but didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

It's a disgusting scam, trying to convince you something is wrong with your loan or credit card and they are there to bail you out,  I was cursed at and threatened when I asked for a manager, they want to open a loan for you they'll promise lower payments, but they will balloon, they usually with try to get a mortgage on your home, interest rates will be astronomical, they are sick crooked scum of the earth!

Also got a call from 616-980-2782 which was answered by our answering machine. No message left, although we could here something like breathing sounds from the caller. Looked up the number on reverse number lookup, to find it is a landline in grand rapids MI. We don't know anyone down there, so will not be calling them back. Will report all these findings (including all of this info on this page) with National Do Not Call Register. Hope it helps stop these calls.

This number has been calling me for months now, but I never pick up because I don't recognize who's calling.

i just reveived a call and it said it was my last chance to pay off my out standing credit card balance when i do not own a credit card, woman on the phone said i needed to press 1 to speak with a representative, when you press 1 there is a lady who said hello then when you say hello back she hangs up on you, called the number back and it says all cercuts are busy! ..

Got a call from this number today, didn't answer. No message left.

Just got a call from this # and didn't answer, they stayed on the line long enough to have our machine blink (it does that when we have a message) so when I checked there was a sound that I couldn't make out but then a hang up. I called it back and no answer.

I have been getting these for a few years each with a message that it is my last chance to lower my interest rate funny how it is always my last chance..lol. I just refuse to answer  if I do not recognize the number.
