I had a call from 617-202 3229.  I was out and don't have answering machine but do have the caller ID.

There was no name but recorded unavailable.

Who was it?

Seem to come from Massachusetts but caller ID name was: Unavailable
Sins I did not have this in my block list I picked up the phone, said hallo twice and there was still nobody - good sign of computer calling - and then I hung up.

I didn't answer because number was number was unfamiliar to me.  Caller ID said it was UNAVAILABLE and they left no message.  I added it to my blocked numbers list.  I figure, if they had no name identification and left no message, it was probably an illegal telemarketer or scammer.

I answered (partly because it's a local-ish number) but there was no one on the other line.

Call received today (1/20/15) @ 1148.  ID : "Unknown*  No message left.

Got call from this number. ID said unavailable. area code says it's from MA, and I live in MA, but don't know anyone at this number. I didn't answer.

Caller ID says UNKNOWN NAME. Voicemail left: a spiel for a scam involving painkillers.

I took the call, which contended it was some blandly titled board of health. They wished to arrange for a pain reducing cream for sufferers of chronic pain, a presciption that would be paid for by my insurance. When I asked for the name of the pain medicine/cream, the female said they did not specify the cream to the patient, but instead explain to my doctor that I desire the magical ointment. At that point I curtailed the communication, since it made little sense.

Lots of noise in the background which would indicate some sort of scam...lots of people in one room calling. When the answering machine picked up the lady calling didn't hear the outgoing message I guess because she started saying "Hello? Hello Mr. "totally mispronounced our super easy and common last name". So...so...annoying. Sick of calls from different scams almost every day. Scares me to think who has what info from what stupid website hack or other means.
