Just received a call from this telephone number. No message was left. Anonymous callback reached a recording stating that the survey I was calling about was now finished...blah, blah, blah and blah.

Caller ID said VITELITY, LLC.

never pick them up ...then they know you are a live call worth the next attempt

The thing is, a human being answering a call, an answering machine or an auto attendant look the same to an auto/predictive dialer.

I have an Avaya commercial telephone system at home. I can monitor incoming calls while the auto attendant is handling them.

Just about every call, you never hear anything from the calling side. The auto attendant message plays, and, eventually you hear a click followed by the line & system resetting.

The dialer is just looking for Hardware Answer Supervision. If a call is not answered, the dialer sees No Answer Supervision.

If an invalid telephone number is called, the LEC generates those 3 familiar tones followed by a recording of some kind. Those calls return No Answer Supervision, thus are not billed and the number should be dropped from the dialer's database.

Got a missed call from this number on my cell, did not pick up,no message left.

Some type of robocall survey.  Left a message on my answering machine stating "to opt out of future national surveys, say no to opt out.  Sorry to have bothered you--your number will be removed from our list immediately."  Don't bother, Mr, Roboto--I've already placed YOUR number on my blocked list.  :-)

They called me again today. Same old same old.

Just got this call. Picked up/hung up at the second ring to break the call, as I recognize "VITELITY, LLC" as a SPAM call generator. Seems to be a small 'select' group that is getting these as I see the same posters here for the majority of these calls.  Anyone know what TYPE of 'survey'?  Is it possibly 'legit' (political?) and therefore exempt or is it SPAM and if so, WHAT ruse are they using?  Could this be the "Free Cruise/Vacation" scam again?  Seems to be going around again, and that one most often used the 'survey' ruse to attempt to get around the ILLEGALITY of their calls.  How many of the rest of you are in Massachusetts, as well?

Have gotten numerous calls from this number and others this week. I never answer and they never leave a message. The frequency of these anonymous calls have really intensified. Is there a new scam going around?
