Breathed heavily into phone then hung up

Calls frequently (although not quite every day) and hangs up when answered; no voicemail is left when not answered.

Has been calling everyday for couple of months. Never leave a msg.

this is daniels law firm, in boston. Thy handle collections accts. They also call in the wee hours of the morning. 7days a wk

Caller always calls regardless of time and never leaves a message.  Calls are very annoying.  Even wake me from my sleep on occasion.

They have called me 27 times since November 11, 2008.  They tend to call 3 times in a 2 day period then wait a few days and try again.  I know they are a collection service from a law office. I have already written to them and sent an entire packet (about 20 pages) of info explaining my situation.  They NEVER leave messages, no did they respond to my request that they contact me in writing.

i guess we should start charging him from now on...
how's $4.99 per minute sound to everyone?

too bad that these people can't link up with people that are lonely and housebound, you know, like the people who watch jewelry shows all day...perhaps they could even charge for those calls.....a lonely hearts phone call service!!!...damn!!!....that's the ticket!!!!

I just started getting calls this week. I answer and there is no one there.

For the last month - they call everyday at least 3x aday....morning, none and night. And these calls aren't even for....Help I cant stand it any more...about to lose it!!!

They are calling the wrong person and they won't stop..help!

Were it professional, they should speak.

I can hear voices etc.   No one actually speaks.   They call perhaps once a week.

I actually called back at their phone number 617-237-1300 in Quincy, MA and spoke with an attendance. When I spoke with the first one, she asked for my social security number but I did not give her. Then I told her to stop calling me, otherwise it's considered a harassment and she hung up on me. When I called again and spoke with the second attendance, she explained that Daniel Law Offices, PC represents CaptialOne to collect a debt in the amount of $5,127.34, including interest from the original amount of $4,908.96 but she was not certain the money was owed by me. She asked for my social security number and date of birth to verify whether or not the money was owed by me. I said I am not going to give her my confidential information. She said, "I can't help you and have a nice day!" and she hung up.

I figured that this law office, Daniel Law Offices, PC was hired by financial and credit card companies to collect debts from people. Their way of looking for people who owe money is to hire people to keep calling whoever's information being provided by the credit card companies. And if they are unsuccessful with the provided information, they will venture out by calling as many others with the same name as they hope they can find the right one that owes money and collect it. And that is how you all and I have gotten many phone calls from this Daniel Law Offices, PC. They are doing this kind of invasive and intrusive work to get paid. My question is "Is it legal for this law firm to keep calling us like this?"
