I believe that (valid) political org's are exempt from the Do Not Call list.

jojo - 12 May 2008The caller told me he was from the Democratic National Committee. It seemed rather shoddy and suspicous. Now I read on this thread it is connected to some Republican group, up to some nefarious purposes no doubt. Just another reason NOT to vote for McCain!

Richard - 21 May 2008This number called and it was "Cynthia" asking for "Sue". I said "yes" and she said that she was from "Insight" seeking funds for "Paralyzed Veterans of America".
