So they called from this number to ask me when I was going to pay. Im 3 days past the due date. I told them never! They hung up after saying my phone would be turned off. I told them it wouldn't be. Im on it now as usual! I go late like this a lot. They never turn you off until like after 70 to 90 days late.

Im like a few days late so they can kiss my azzz!  

Got a call from the same number, but the CID was "Morgenthaler."  It probably is Verizon Wireless because we're one day late for our payment.  I really resent Verizon's calling us for this, as I do their sending messages to my mobile phone a few days in advance of the payment to "remind" me of the due date. When my contract is up, I'm going to seriously consider getting rid of them because of their nagging.

It is Verizon and I am not even late with my payment!!! 15 more days of contract and then...adios!!!!

This is a scam and it is not Verizon.  Got a text earlier today requesting me to pay my bill within 24 hours and gave me a website and a phone number.  Looked up number and it is reported as a scammer site.  My bill is paid up to date besides. My software gave me a warning about the website and I bailed.  Looks like new year, more scammers trying to rip you off.  Recorded message even had my name.....  BEWARE !!

Verizon wireless message retrieval system

I started to get calls from this number in the last 2 days. It's verizon wireless calling about an account status change, and gives 1-800-249-2462 as the number to call back.

1st, I don't have Verizon as my wireless carrier!! 2nd, I'm not even he person they mention in the recorded message!

It is Verizon Wireless. Why these posts are saying otherwise makes no sense.

Beware, I believe this number is a Scam!!! I was called several times from this number with robo call claiming that they are Verizon Wireless and they must speak to  a Mr. Jose Velazquez about a service change, they then give you an opportunity to speak with a representative if you are not the person in question. After waiting on hold for a couple of minutes I was connected with Melissa  who asked me for my name and account information. I informed her I was contacted by a robo call and wish to have my name removed from the call list, I refused to give her any more information than my Last Name and Telephone Number when she pressed for more information I asked how the phone company (whose primary function is phone information) might have my number associated with an incorrect name. She explained that sometimes when numbers change the company takes awhile to update the information in their database. I responded that I have had my current number for over 16 years and that I believed this to be a scam call. Flustered, she promised that I would be removed from the call list; regardless I have blocked the number. (Also, at a certain point I asked where their call center was located and she said Iowa when the call area code is from Boston.) Just be careful and good luck!

Been calling me for 2 days. I don't owe Verizon. It's a scam.

I am Verizon Wireless customer and received a call from this number twice today. Have not left a message. My bill is not late and not due for 10 days. I think I'm going to answer just to see what they want. I will come back and let everyone know what happens when they do call again.

I called Verizon, initiated a fraud investigation about this same number that called my phone. This number is not associated with Verizon, they blocked the number for me and are investigating...

I just got a call from this number. I called Verizon customer service and was told that it was a scam. I do not have a past due balance. The rep said that they do most of their account communication via text or email. They have no record of Calling me. I gave her the number that I was called from and she said that it is not a Verizon number.

No, it isn't. It's an old scam that different scam artists have been passing around for over a year.
