claimed they were social security administration ( middle eastern accent ) confirmed my address, asked what  
bank my checks were sent to. I denied the information after being asked twice and was hung up on.

Receiveda call this afternoon and picked p the line. After I said "Hello" there was noise and music in the background but no response from the caller. Sounded like a call center, most likely a ROBO Call. Being as I am on the Do-Not-Call registry and been on since day one these calls should not be made. As I have said before, the Do-Not-Call registry appears to be nothing but a telepone book for these scammers.

10/03 11 AM  No ID, I don't answer!  Rolled over to voicemail, nothing but a burst of static for message.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  Certainly won't be attempting to return call.

Someone from this number called an older friend of mine. Claimed a connection to Medicare.   Had some info on her and wanted more, which she did not give.  Gave her a "Customer Service" number which I called for her today.  The "CS" number is an answering service which would not give me any information as to the company that was calling my friend.

Called my mother claiming to be with Medicare and wanted my mother's banking info or threatened to stop her Medicare and her check. I told her to hang up. When she called bk I answered at which time in a thick accent started cussing me and asking who the hell are you...at which time I hung up.

Answered a call from this number. The person with a foreign accent asked for me by name. I asked "regarding?" "This is Medicare office" he replied. Medicare office?  I asked. What do you mean this is the Medicare office. We are in the middle of a government shutdown, Medicare is closed. No, he replied, this is Medicare. No, I said, Medicare is closed this is a lie. He hung up

Caller ID said "Out of Area".  Male with thick Middle Eastern accent said, "This is the Medicare office".  He said my new Medicare card would be mailed out immediately.  I said I didn't sign up for Medicare, and he hung up.

Received call approx 6:15 pm. Caller I.D. stated that it was a Massachusetts call with number of 617-284-1955. I answered but received no response until a few seconds later. Sounded like a typical telemarketer call background noise. This guy with heavy middle eastern accent asked for me by name and when I acknowledged, he stated he was from social security administration and was advising me that new Medicare cards were being sent out. I had just received one of these scam phone calls a week ago from an Asian woman with the same dialogue but different phone number. (248-742-3843, which I've posted on this site as well) I interrupted him and said "you people are all going to hell for what you're doing....shame on you, shame on all of you". He then started screaming "f--k you" over and over while I kept saying "shame on you". He then hung up.

617-284-1955 called me a few minutes ago. No one replied, no background noise.

10/08 8:05 Second time this number has called.  Once again, didn't answer since ID is just a string of numbers.  Caller waited until rollover to voicemail, but no message left.

I keep getting calls from this number  No one answers- They just hang up--I am on the uncall list- doesnt seem to stop them---How do we get rid of them???

10/09/2013 7:54 AM. Caller ID said "Unknown name". The caller said that he was from the Medicare Verification Center, that I was to receive a new Medicare card, but that he had to verify my information first. He gave my address and phone number, both of which were correct. Then he said that he needed to know the name of the bank where my Social Security payments were deposited. When I refused to give that information he hung up. I received the same call from 248-742-3843 on 09/19/2013 at 1:48 PM.

I work in a field office and can verify that this number is neither Social Security nor Medicare.  Please do not release any information to them.  They are attempting to reroute your  benefits.  The number that has been reported was 617-284-1955.

I got a call from this number this morning. The man gave a very English name, which, unfortunately, I can't remember, He represented himself as representing Medicare, gave me some of my personal information and asked for information about my bank. I refused to answer; he told me that my Medicare would be cancelled. I said, "No, it won't." He repeated; I repeated. I said I was hanging up now. He said, "I'm cancelling your Medicare right now. I hung up.

this number has been reported numerous times by numerous people...they are trying to get personal information saying they are associated with Medicare and threatening to can Medicare......PLEASE STOP THESE POEPLE

Received call from this number from a fellow with heavy accent stating my new medicare card would be sent out. He verified address and line went dead

My Mother received calls from this number and they have now gone to quoting the person's Bank information verbatim.  PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS and Check your Caller ID.  Don't answer if you don't recognize the number or the persons name.  If you do answer Hang up!!!!!

Just got a call stating the were from social security office.  Confirmed address and phone number, and then wanted my banking information.  My response was "are you crazy????"  She said, no ma'am, but when I repeated the question, she hung up.  I dialed back on the caller ID number, and got a recording that this number was not in service.
