Getting calls once a week - no message.

very annoying.  no message. get calls a few times a day.  I don't answer calls from numbers i don't know.

No message left,
but because of my caller ID I can see they have called several timesseveral calls

Got a call from this number this evening, no message was left.

Caller ID shows UMASS-BOSTON.  Caller identified himself with University of Massachusetts-Boston.  Said they were conducting a study about smoking and wanted to poll the adults in our home to see if we qualified for their study.  Was very pleasant and did not argue when I told him that we do not participate in telephone surveys.

got a call today from 617-287-5002 but didn't answer - didn't lvm

30 minute survey about smoking.

If no message is left I refuse to call the number.  Must not be very important.

They have called me 2 times this week and no voicemail was left. When i called back it was the voicemail of UMass Boston

Got a call it clicked off. Why is this number not banned?

I called the number back. They had not left a message. When I called back it said to dial 1 for a directory. I did. It wanted first three letters of a last name. I entered "cam" (guess) and got the voice mail for Annette Cameron. She said it was best to reach her via email. Her email address was umass boston like folks are saying. I graduated from umass Boston. Are all of us graduates?

UMass grad - didn't answer.  I don't answer if there is no caller ID

Scam .  SCAM SCAM . They had called few times but never left a VM .  Today they called around 7 but Last call was around 8.00 PM.  She  told me she was from the Alumni something for research. I told her I graduated in 1990 from UMAS and has no interest in anything she has to offer. I connect all calls through my PC.  I had a call tracer while I spoke to her.  Immediately my computer went nuts and start blocking the Trojans they set to pull your personal data.  Some kind of scam.  I tracked this number to UMAS but its routed through an IP from Vermont than Arizona.

First off, thank you to all who have commented.  Like many are saying, it appears to be a UMASS scam or whatever.  Called me late evening around 7:00PM on a Good Friday holiday (yes, on Good Friday 3/25/2016) which is even more insulting!  I was busy wasting time surfing Youtube and I get interrupted by this (617) 287-2987 so I pick up thinking it's important.  A female tells me she's from UMASS Boston doing a survey or whatever.  I wasn't even paying attention.  I tell her "Isn't this an odd time to be calling from UMASS Boston? Call me during the day."  I hang up, googled the number, and here I am.  Guess I'll block that number now.

Also a UMass grad.  Have called several times with no message left.  Assumed it was related to alumni relations, although they have never called me before.  I didn't realize they were calling after UMass business hours (I'm on the West Coast) until I read the above post.  Blocking!

This is not Umass Boston calling you. This is a robocall that is using UMass Boston as fake caller id info. If you call the number back it will direct you to 617-287-5000 which is the main number to UMass.

They call and wont leave a message! My phone is reigstred with Do not call registry!!!!!!

Called late at night. No one answered.
