Robo call.  Electric bill scam.

Just received call from this number as well. Let my vm pick up & they hung up part way thru my message.n

I didn't answer this unrecognized number.  They left no message.  TK's earlier report and the caller ID name (Quincy       MA) are enough for me to block further calls.

Just had a missed call from this number. No message left. So much for the new Do Not Call registry for cell phones!

Got a call from this number 6174836653.
Sent it to voicemail.
Left voicemail of 1 second before cut off.
Sounded like a robot.

Caller ID is "Quincy MA".  I don't answer calls from numbers I do not recognize.

This is Robo call spam.  Left a voice message for a bogus "US renewable energy program" that promises to "stop the 14 percent electricity rate increase".

My electric company has neither applied for nor received any rate increase from the public service commission and the commission would never approve an increase of 14%.

This is clearly a phishing scheme to get people to give them personal information in order to "stop the massive electric rate increase" and then use identity theft to steal your money. Do not answer this call.

Spam call

Got this same call on my private cell.  I suspect the SOURCE of these calls is TIME WARNER CABLE and possibly other cable providers. They are constantly running ADS that match these scams verbatim. Note all the scam calls for "Switching Electric Providers/Buy Home Solar Panels over the phone from a complete FOREIGN stranger!", assorted medical devices (back braces/knee braces, etc.), Home Security Systems/Medical Alert Systems, Medical Lawsuits for bad drugs, bad surgeries, etc. I believe the cable companies SELL our NAMES and phone numbers to these SCAMMER COMPANIES that then hire FOREIGN CALL CENTERS to HARASS us for our FINANCIAL information so that the (probably American) SCAMMERS can DEFRAUD us and the GOVERNMENT out of BILLIONS *AND avoid prosecution because the calls originate from Overseas. ALSO, the cable co's have EASY ACCESS to which phone numbers are currently 'not in service' providing an easy way for the scammers to know which numbers to use to SPOOF, to HIDE their REAL source/identity. TIME for an INVESTIGATION of the CABLE PROVIDERS of America and then you'll see where the money is going.

Called my cell phone, these people may be using automated fast dialers, be aware and report these scamers to your local all.

Robo call about saving energyI hit 1 to speak with someone.  Got some rude guy that claims he wasn't a telemarketer.  They hung up on me.

Call ID only shows the number and "Quincy,MA."  This is Robo call spam that will call you again and again and again..  The voice from the autodialer leaves a message for a bogus "US renewable energy program" that promises to "stop the 14 percent electricity rate increase."

Got ANOTHER call from them today on a different family member's cell.  Obviously they are just sequential dialing, randomly hoping to get someone to 'bite.'  Neither of these numbers are ones tied to our TWC accounts.

Partial Robo Call Message, womans voice began, "You are...."  The call disconnected, possibly when the auto-dialer didn't detect a human response?  (That number is blocked now.")

Received a call again from this #.  Disconnected before the answering machine picked up.  Annoying!
