Asked for someone that does work here and then hung up. Tried to call the number back and it is disconnected. Must be a scam call.

Got a call from this number.  Obviously a foreigner, sounded middle eastern.  Could hardly speak English.  Most likely a scam, but he knew my name.  I am concerned.

this number showed up on caller ID but he gave me a local Jacksonville business name and phone # - for an elevator company. We do not have an elevator at work. I kept asking him what he wanted (foreigner) and he would not tell me, only that he was returning a call. I knew he was BS'ing so I kept him on hold for a while and came back and repeated he needs to tell me what he wants or he cannot talk to the president of the company. He hung up. I called the local elevator company and they don't know a thing about someone calling for them as only one person works in the office there. A new type of scam!

617-484-4700 calls every so many days. They ask for a name, no department, no title and they won't identify who they are. The person is not listed here as an employee and they refuse to speak to hr or payroll to verify. They cuss or call me an idiot. I would like to block this number somehow.

This number calls every few days, asks for someone who used to work here.  When I call that number, it supposedly does not exist, an automated voice comes on and gives me the choice of 4 learning centers in Massachusetts.

Received a call at work from this number.  When I answered, a male (sounded like East Indian accent) asked for my full name (pronounced it wrong). When I said, "Speaking," he asked "How are you?"  I said, "Fine, who's calling?" to which he responded, "You don't remember me?"  I said "No" sternly and he hung up!
When I googled the number, I found this site as well as a listing for a high school in Belmont, MA. I called the number back and a recording came on saying the number was not in service and offered 4 similar numbers I might be trying to connect to (3 of which were Sylvan Learning Centers and 1 for University of Phoenix).
Obviously, this person was trying to verify my number and my name and was able to input a non-working number for the caller ID (I think you can do this through services like Google Voice). My company experienced a data breach last year and now I'm really concerned.

Called me at 6am yesterday morning asking for someone, told him you have the wrong number. asked if i was sure and then asked who i was, i said i dont think so and hung up. blocked the number, no more issue.

Called my work this morning and asked for me specifically. When I answered, he said my name, I said "yes," and he hung up.

Same experience as other folks here. I was transferred the call from our company front desk. Front desk said they asked for me by name. I answered the phone with "hello this is Sue" they said "Sue Smith?" and I said "yes. Then they hung up. (Sue Smith is not my real name)

Same experience as with everyone else. I had a missed call at 8:45, I come in at 9:00 trying to return the call and find out it's been disconnected.

Oh yeah, and the number was 617-484-4700.

I just received a call, 9:50 here at work from someone who sounded foreign possibly Indian or Middle Eastern.  I aswered the phone by stating my name (which I always do) and he repeated my name, I said 'speaking' then he said something I could not understand then hung up.  The number was (617) 484-4700; caller ID indicated Belmont, Massachusetts.  Does anyone know if this is a privacy breach or something I need to be concerned about?

received call at work on 6/5/15, asked if this was b___ s____, i said 'yes, who's calling?'  Respondent gave a name and said he was w/ some company, and then hung up.
