    We got a call from this number today at 4:57 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was CUSTOMER CARE. Thanks to all who posted information about this number. It will be added to our call blocker.

    Called us on 3/2/16 while we were on vaca.  No msg left.  Thanks for the info posted here; will file a complaint with the DNC and block.

    I use Boston docs/hospitals (long distance) for a life-threatening illness and while we were away we got TWENTY-SIX Boston area code SPAM calls that I had to look up/research to make sure they were not calls from any docs/hospitals, especially since I had an appt/tests one week after we got home.  So discouraging.  Wish I could collect somehow for all my wasted time.  (And that doesn't count the 24 OTHER calls in three weeks that came in from NON-Boston numbers!)

    Customer Care- if they cared about the customer they would name their company and leave a message. It's a spoofed scam call. And I agree with everyone else, I'm  fed up with this BS as well.  The inconvenience, the wasted time, the aggravation,  the researching , even this incessant typing.  Thankfully, we have each other to bounce our gripes off as well as sharing info.  Sickeningly,  I am tortured w/ 100x's as many of these bs calls than I receive desired calls.   My friends and family have just about stopped calling because "You never answer the phone".  They don't understand that the reason I never answer the phone is because I've trained myself not to hear it ring anymore-  *because* of these unending ,nuisance calls. I spend $100 month to not be able to answer my  phone ?  Absurd.

    Caller ID is "CUSTOMER CARE".  They leave no message.  I receive another mystery call from a hometown number under 2 minutes later (I strongly suspect it is them).

    I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).  I hear the following, "Hello and thank you for calling.  If you'd like to be placed on a Do-Not-Call list for the number that called you, please, press 1 now." (I never do this as it can actually make things worse).

    So we have a spoofed caller ID and the failure to identify themselves.  This smells like a SCAM.

    I have seen this outgoing message associated with energy scammers.

    Typically, I see the "CUSTOMER" in the caller ID when it is an energy scam (I have seen a couple of others here and on another site claim this number is associated with this type of scam).  My guess is that they want to make you think that they are your energy provider.  Then you the supposed CUSTOMER will give up your account number.  That number is all they need to switch you to their terrible energy plan.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER!

    My answering machine has an option to announce the number. (I wish they'd announce the name too.) That keeps me from having to get up to look at the caller ID. Usually I can tell if it's a scam or someone I want to talk to. There are some robocalls I want (appointment reminders, town government, etc.), but I want them to go the answering machine anyway so I can refer back to them. I don't listen to them leaving the message, because they're hip to that and leave a long message.

    They called again today.  About 30 seconds before this call, I received a call with a caller ID of "Private".  I am sure it is them.

    So their modus operandi is to call multiple times from multiple numbers.  They have actually found a way to worsen my already horrible impression of them.

    How can we eliminate these calls? I agree with the person who doesn't answer any calls any longer. Tempted to cancel home phone number just to eliminate these spam calls!
