Got a call form this number tonight, I answered and the individual on the other end simply hung up.

ditto, call on my cell phone, answered phone and heard lot of commotion in background. They hung up.

I have received this one 2 or 3 times in the last month. If you call back, it says the IBM message is full. So annoying.

Received on Sprint cell phone; no message left.

Got three calls all on Thursday at 715 PM When I try to answer, there is nobody there. Once I heard commotion and hangup/ I am on Do not Call List , Call back shows IBM Mailbox full and not accepting message.  

Just received my 3rd call from this number in the last month. Same IBM talk when I try to call it back. So odd!

Boston College soliciting donations. They call at least once a week at dinner time and never leave a message. I finally picked up this time, and person went into their "BC Fund" spiel and refused to give a call back number.

I get these calls from BC at least once a day.

Yes, it is Boston College.  If you have provided them with your information to access the alumni/alumnae website, they are going to call your number to solicit donations.  I don't understand why they don't say anything when I (and apparently others) pick up the phone. Maybe they are stunned that someone actually answered?

I've received 8 calls from this number in the past three weeks; I don't even bother answering anymore.  I would expect a BC office to be a 617-552-xxxx number (552 is the local code for their offices), unless this is an external entity calling on BC's behalf.

You are so silly if you think it is actually BC calling you!!! Obviously the IBM answering machine is also not BC but BS!!

This is a scam and NOBODY can prove me wrong!!!!

Someone on a post suggested this: Set your fax machine to send unlimited faxes to this number.....tie up their line mabye, since that seems the only way to stop them.

Oh, and like me, Boston College is on my SH**T list and will never get another penny from me again.

BCisBS is full of BS.  Yes, it's BC, they hired an agency to do their fundraising.  What makes YOU think they haven't?

A fundraising company works on site at BC.  They hire students to make the calls.

You went to a school. Not a fundraising committee. Pay your debts, and those include paying upon those debts of others, going forward— just as others had for you in the past. Punishing a kid's ability to go to BC, or to thrive at it, because of annoying calls?

That'll show 'em. Let the next kid they deny a scholarship to know it was only because you were all collectively interrupted at dinner.

and, they're clearly augmented by a fundraising team off-shore, likely in Manilla, by IBM IT infrastructure. Which didn't note to carry out the project so well... =)
