Received a call from this number, 617-652-6528 saying:
The IRS is filing suit on you. To get more information call 617-652-6528.

Fed up with getting these calls. Why doesn't FCC do something about it?

I'm getting sued by the IRS. It's [***]. I've got this call before and some foreigner answered and said they dialed wrong. No worries. If the IRS wants to get you, they know where you live.

I'm getting sued by the IRA.   The man that answered said to go F--- myself.
Prosecute.

Message cut off before complete. 8 know the IRS doesn't make phone calls.

I have received a robot call from this number claiming to be the IRS who "has filed a lawsuit" against me.

foreign caller identified himself as IRS agent. gave name & "IRM#" He said "the IRS is filing suit on you" I said I was calling the public IRS phone number. His reply was "I will see you in prison" May he be snared by the words of his mouth but I won't be there.

pure scam - a big load of horse hockey

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. We don't have jurisdiction in those country's.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

wanted to talk to me in regard to a lawsuit. (Not)

Just got a call, freaked me out a little because i couldnt think of a reason theyd be calling us, let it go to answering machine. said 7 at the end of the call back number instead of 8. Very thankful its just a scam

Got the call/message from 617-652-6528 stating the IRS was getting ready to file suit against me.  My husband used to work for the IRS...they do not make phone calls.

Received a call from this number. Tried calling back it just rang and rang and rang. Figured if it was the real irs i would have gotten an automated message giving me options on what department i needed, etc. Then i punched the number into google and found this site... Definitely a bulls**t call if you ask me.

I just received a phone call from 6617-652-6528, unknown name at at 2:30 pm indicating that they have been trying to reach me and I should call them immediately or the IRS will file charges againgst me. Its was a recording and they did not give a name. This is the second time they have called. The last one.was yesterday at 2:37pm. I wish someone could do something! !!!

Received the same call today about the IRS suing me.  Reporting it to the FCC does nothing, as I tried this with several other phone numbers.  My advice is to not call back and just hang up or delete the message.

Received a call at 7:18 am PST...freaked me out because it's too early for call from anyone but scammers. Called the number back..got what sounded like white noise..then music and then nothing...Google number...found this site saying it was a scam..not a great way to start the day considering I'm retired!  Damn I sure wish there was something that could be done to stop this kind of scam. Number called..617 652-6528.

Received a call from this # and was told i owe money to irs and that i was going to jail.  He said someone would come by my house to pick up $1900.00.  While he was talking i googled the phone number and found all these notes.  I really got scared.

UNwated Call (suspect phising)

Call is fake. Don't worry about it. You can file a police report, but there isn't much they can do. Do not give them any personal information.
