I get calls from this number several times a day.  The name that cmes up on caller ID is ISA Marketing.  I never answer and the caller never leaves a message.

I have gotten several calls from this number....don't know why they keep calling because we don't answer phone numbers we don't recognize.  They should give up.

ISA Marketing. Call zapped by Phone Tray Free but their web site seems to indicate that they do a lot of subscription renewal reminders (see http://isamarketingcorporation.com/Feature%20Services.html) This would explain why they can legally call numbers that are on the Do Not Call Registry: If you have an "existing business relationship" (you've subscribed to a magazine) they can call you to bug you when it's running out.

I've now added their number to my permanent block list.

They were the first ones added to my block list -- just got brand new phones with call blocking just for this purpose!!

Good luck. Most telemarketers keep changing their number to prevent people from being able to do this. They want to pick up and tell them to stop. They figure once they get your ear they can rope you in.

If your phone lets you block area codes and exchanges as well, it will be more effective, because telemarketers often have a whole bank of numbers from one or two exchanges.

I have my phone set to announce the number (but if they leave a message, I set it to shut off having to hear it while they are recording it). That way I can tell whether it's a human or a telemarketer.

The only magazine I subscribe to is Consumer Reports, and I am less than pleased with their marketing department. It's bad enough that I had to switch to their paper edition, because their web site was so full of spyware, popunders, and other sleaze and annoyances that it didn't work with my security settings.

Now I get tons of junk mail asking me to renew my subscription 10 months before it expires.

Good point. That's why I block on the CNAM (caller name) part of caller ID: Any call from "ISA Marketing" gets blocked here, no matter what the number. (These jerks just tried calling again this morning.)

the number 617-689-8822 is not in service. If you call 617-657-0819 at anytime during the day or night the number is busy...sounds like it is off the hook.
They call me every day and never leave a message.

Iwould like to lodge a complaint about # 617-657-0819.  I would like this number traced and have them emoved from callingmy number 6-7 times a day.  It is considered harassment and I will lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Thank you.

No one here does that. This is a forum for talking about telemarketers, scams, & strange calls. Please contact your service provider about blocking phone numbers.

They keep calling me and the last guy yelled at me in swore . Please do something about this

What do you expect us consumers to do about it?  We're here to complain about these callers, just like you.  We do not have the power to stop them except to warn others about the callers (this website, for example) and to report violators to the FCC and other entities responsible for going after violators.  Though nothing seems to really get done via the FCC, they certainly can't act if no one reports these violations. Sometimes they manage to be effective at stopping legitimate or semi-legitimate companies from violating their regulations, like those annoying car warranty calls to people's cell phones that we used to get.  So, they're of limited, use but they do have some use.

You might want to keep an ear-piercing emergency whistle or similar item next to your phone for the next time these people call you.  If the guy swore at you, it's game on!  I love doing this  to scam artists.  I talk softly so I'm sure they're listening closely, then blow the whistle into the receiver.  It gives me some satisfaction.

These people apparently called my DNC listed phone this morning at 0840 hrs.  As they are blacklisted on my blocking device, the call would have been disconnected after one or two rings.  (Wish it disconnected before it rings, but the device has to wait for the caller ID info to go through before it can kick in.)
