- This one hereGot a call. Apparently they are still operating, despite all these warnings here. It was a hang-up.
These scams always have a city name or just a state on the caller ID. This time it was Cambridge, MA calling. The other day the state of California called me. Man, that's some very specific information. It's just one person out of 50 million. - meGot call on cell phone and didn't answer. When I called back only 5 minutes later I got a recording saying the number was no longer in service. Originated in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Definitely a scam probably identity theft. Do not answer or give any information. Have had several of these type calls lately. Had one from California came up on caller ID as TEST. DON'T answer this call either cuz it is the same circumstances. IDENTITY THIEVES.

- MemphisThanks for heads up.
- John replies to RichThe card service scammers WILL 'service' our credit cards, BUT, when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!
- Cis replies to JayeI had the same results..
- Dk| 2 repliesDidn't answer or call back.. I'm always suspicious
- SjeffersonThe caller ID said "unknown" but it was from Tina Brown of Educare Centre Services. She is trying to collect money from me for providing reduced interest rate on a credit card. When I received the first call, I thought it was from my credit card company. I argued with the caller about the service and should of hung up. I wasn't feeling well and ended up being transferred to another person who continued pressuring me, then finally ended up with Tina Brown. I agreed to pay and signed electronic document. She contacted a couple of credit card companies while I was on the phone but only managed to transfer part of the debt owed on one credit card to another one with no balance. I had already given her my checking account information to pay a $894 service fee over a three month period. I realized I had been scammed when I was on the phone with the credit card company. I called the number on the e-signed document and told them that according to the e-signed document, I could revoked the payments as long as it was at least three days prior to the debit date. Tina wasn't available and I told the agent I was revoking the payment as instructed in the e-signed document. I closed my checking account. I have been threatened to be sued, reported to the credit reporting companies, and started receiving harassing phone calls after I blocked the numbers on my phone. I checked FTC's website and read about the scam and registered to be added to the Do Not Call list. I am embarrassed about caving in and upset about the potential impact to my above average credit rating.
