Dead air call at about 2:00 PM today (May 6, 2016), typical of calls from boiler rooms while dispatchers listen for a pickup and assign an operator.  Call dropped without response.  This happens when an operator is not available, the dispatcher doesn't assign the call before his equipment times out and hangs up, or the dispatcher decides not to connect you to an operator.  A wrong number sounds different, because you will usually hear background noise before disconnect, and the disconnect will have more than one click as it ripples through the system.

Number 617-788-1124, which could be spoofed, maps to a Verizon land line in Boston.  Caller ID is "Unknown name."

Getting harassed by this number multiple times each day.  Caller ID says: COMM OF MASS, MW. Gave the name "Daniel Foster" said he was with CVS calling about a "painkiller" Rx.  Sounded like a stoned teenagers on a prank call.  I don't even have such and Rx nor CVS in my area.  I pressed and asked him for his physical address. He gave me a string of numbers, no street name and then dead air.  Any thoughts on who to report this to? CVS? Cops? Insurance co.? Phone provider? FCC???

Scumbags in India peddling fake prescription drugs and trying to get your credit card number so they can sell it. I'm pretty sure everyone in India will burn inthe fires or eternal hell so that's comforting.

Got this call repeatedly with no message left

Called again today, represent themselves as "Canadian Pharmacy" and wanted to sell me Viagra.  Phone 617-788-1124 is a land line in Boston, but may be spoofed.  Reported to FTC.

This number has called several times a day for the past week, and always hangs up on my machine.  I have not answered as Comcast has previously told me this is the only defense against these types of calls (or blocking the # which I have since done). Since I can only block so many #'s I only use it for #'s that call repeatedly--like this one--but we get many of these types of calls. The frequency has diminished since we stopped answering though. I wish I had a remote device that made the scammers' phones spontaneously combust.  Get a real job!

I picked up and he said his name was Dave and had diabetic supplements for me then he asked if I was a diabetic. WHAT!!!! I said take me off of whatever list I'm on. Called everyday two three times a day and no message. You call number back and get a rapid busy signal. Makes me extremely angry

Maybe 'cause you're hiding your ID, unlike me, I just don't care to talk to people or a business that operates like that
