they are trying to "give away" gift cards that you have to pay for shipping for. the guy seamed uneasy, impatient and hung up on me when I asked to be removed from his list. He also groaned when I was unwilling to give him my information.

One ring and a hang up. Scammer wants you to call back so he can hit you with his sales pitch or scam without violating Do Not Call regulations (he didn't try to sell anything when he called you and it's fine for him to try when you call him).

Phone rang a couple of times.  I did not answer.  Thanks for the info - I blocked the call

Called my cell phone and hung up after two rings - no clue who it is, don't care and going to save him to my contacts with a "no ring".  So there!

Received a call from this number with no Caller ID and no message left. Based on the notes above, it's now blocked and categorized as another junk call.

Very disappointing that the no call lists are ineffective.  They only work with reputable  people/companies.   Most of the unknown calls we get are not from companies or people with integrity.

Same, mostly. Stopped ringing before I could answer the cell phone. only about 4 rings, normally my rings are 8 to 10.

Same here.  I got 2 spam calls to my cell in the past week. I've only had 2 others ever. This a disturbing trend. I too put these calls in a blocked phone book entry.
