- Anonym| 1 replyCalled me two times: once on 5/20/16 and today, 5/26/16; both times while I was on the phone with an important call. CallerID/Call Waiting said "SOMERVILLE" which I know to be near Boston and the likely source of a lot of spam calls, so I did not allow it to cut in. BUT, because its didn't register on my call blocker due to it being a Call Waiting call, I can't block it! RATS!!!
But thanks to those who informed us that it is another "FREE CRUISE" SCAM call.
Call Type: LYING THIEVING CRIMINALS- Caller: "SOMERVILLE, MA"
- LosersAnswered due to it being a local call and person never says anything. Just hangs up!! Dirtbags get a life
- Me replies to BrianI just received a call from the same number with the same recorded message stating something like "this survey is expired".
- Paul-CJust received a call from this telephone number. No message was left. Anonymous callback reached a generic telemarketing greeting saying that the survey was finished...blah blah blah.
- Call type: Survey
- Paul-C replies to AnonymMost of the time, the displayed name of the city & state are meaningless as to identifying where the call originated.
Because of VoIP, anyone can aquire a telephone number for any town/city in the world.
The big giveaway that the displayed telephone number isn't legit is the use of a town/city and state as opposed to just the name of the state.
Another clue is that true Bell System telephone numbers are displayed with all capital letters as opposed to a mix of upper and lower case letters. Some cable companies and just about all VoIP providers use a mixture of U & L case letters. - TICKED617-982-1202

Both of these come up as being from Somerville, MA.
Supposedly a "Survey" - I told them what they could do with their phone calls when they called for the 3rd time in a week.. I used some terminology that I will not repeat here , but one could guess.- Caller: No Company Given
- Call type: Survey
