Recorded message for Credit card scam.

I keep getting calls from this number about twice a month.  I do not answer because I know that it is a scam.  I am on the do not call list so not sure why they keep calling.

Periodically get unwanted calls from this number.  Must be a scam...  they don't leave a message.

Credit Card scam has been calling me for years, every week, every month.  I report them to the FTC Do Not Call List...doesn't do any good. After pressing 1 and getting an agent, I yell in their ear to tell me their whole sales pitch because I'm recording every single word of it and will use it as evidence when I file a report with their states' attorney general.  By then they've already hung up. Just got this call and they left a voicemail. It was an automated voicemail saying there were no problems with my current accounts but to press 1 to discuss lowering current interest rates or press 9 to stop receiving calls. I called them back and got this same automated message so I pressed 9. Hopefully that stops the calls but I doubt it will. I'm kind of thinking this is bogus since I don't have any credit cards at all.

Some of you need to settle down. Yelling at someone just makes you seem crazy and if I was the person calling, I would hang up on you too. I know these calls are annoying but screaming at people doesn't solve anything, obviously.

Did not answer, they left a message on 2/13/2012 for an obvious credit card scam.  Information about upgrading my credit account.

Did not answer, no message left in the 7 second Voicemail.  I find it depressing that the no call list doesn't apply to these asshats and politically action folks.  Non of which pay for my phone bill.

Jennifer (machine) calling to reduce my interest rate.  my credit is perfect, makes no sense.  i can't even get through to a real person by pressing 1 or 9 or any number in between.  i get these 2x a week and really tired of it!  anybody know  way to get in touch with whomever is behind this crap???

no message, it was a missed call, but I am on the National "DO NOT CALL" registry and want these to stop!!

These people keep calling me.  I have requested that they stop but they don't.  I am on the do not call list but they keep calling .   I have called back and hit the 9 button to get my number off the list and they still call.  Is this not harassment???  I have no debt to consolidate, and I have 0% interest.  They can't do anything for me but they keep calling.

Background

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) places limits on unsolicited prerecorded telemarketing calls to landline home telephones, and all autodialed or prerecorded calls to wireless numbers, emergency numbers, and patient rooms at health care facilities. These calls are known as “robocalls.” The FCC recently took steps to further restrict robocalls with new rules that will go into effect after they are approved by the Office of Management and Budget (approval will be announced in the Federal Register). This Consumer Guide describes how the FCC’s rules will change, those rules that will continue unchanged that also provide consumer protections, and how you can best avoid unwanted telephone calls.

The New Rules For Robocalls

When the FCC’s new rules go into effect, they will impose clearer requirements for how a business must obtain your consent before it may make a telemarketing call or send a telemarketing text message to you. The new rules will require that you first give your written consent to receive such calls or messages, on paper or through electronic means, including website forms, a telephone keypress, or a recording of your oral consent.

Another change is that telemarketers will no longer be able to make telemarketing robocalls or send texts to you based solely on an “established business relationship” with you. You may establish such a relationship when you contact a business to ask questions or purchase something from a business.

The new rules will also require telemarketers to allow you to opt out of receiving additional telemarketing robocalls immediately during a robocall through an automated menu. This new requirement means that you will not have to hang up and make a separate call in order to stop further telemarketing robocalls.

Continuing Robocall Consumer Protections

There is no change to the prior consent requirement for robocalls and texts that are not telemarketing. These include messages regarding school closings or those containing flight information. You do not have to give your consent for these calls to your landline home phone. However, your oral or written consent is still required for these types of calls or texts made to your wireless number.

What Can You Do to Protect Yourself?

Under the TCPA, the FCC, along with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), established a national Do-Not-Call list. Placing your home or personal wireless number on the list prohibits telemarketers from calling, unless you have given them your prior expressed permission to call, they are exempt from the rules, or they have an established business relationship with you (an exception that will be changed by the new rules). To register a number, go to www.donotcall.gov.

Complaint Procedures

If you think there has been a violation of the robocalls rules, you can file a complaint with the FCC at https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088C. While the FCC cannot award monetary or other damages to consumers, filing complaints allows the Commission to investigate violators. However, in some states you are allowed to file suits against telemarketers and receive monetary damages for violations of these rules.

U "kinda think" it's a scam and u don't even have a credit card account? If someone robs u but isn't wearing a bandit mask do u kinda think u got robbed? These "people" that do this aren't even "people". They're motherless scumbag thieves! Since they are able to steal with impunity people get mad. Yell at them, waste their time, insult them cuz that's the only consequence they will have.

Recieved this call today, Connected with a live person and told them I did not have a credit card connected to this # and thet hung up on me. SCAM!

Had a call from this number this morning.  There was a voicemail.  It was a burp.
