Just looked this info up on Whitepages.com and the name came up with the phone number:

Comes as a Cellular Call.  Leaves no answer on the and. machine.

two calls from Shawne Wise this week.   I did not answer, but no message was left on the machine.  When I attempted to call this number, a message came on saying the number had been disconnected.  Something very sneaky is going on here.

I just received two phone calls in a row from 618-709-7644 - when I answered it there was no one on the line.  Also caller id reads these calls are from Shawne Wise - who is this and what is going on?

These numbers call all the time  I never answer. They never leave a MSG they just beep beep,then quit

Just got this call 9/17/2012 at 10:39 AM.  I think it's some sort of scammer or collection call and they keep changing I.D. for their number. Who ever they are... it's quite ineffective, they accomplish nothing since caller doesn't bother to speak!?  There's no msg left... only beeps if I hold on... so what's the point!! Crazy. It's an inconvenient interruption that I resent inasmuch as I must stop what I'm doing when they call to have a look at I.D. or to pick up.  ID reads "cellular call"... nothing more.

Got a call at 2:30pm today...Have gotten them before and it is a cellular call...Please find out who or what company is doing this and put a stop to it ...

This is a robo call.  I believe these telemarketers are somehow getting lists of recently cancelled phone numbers.  So when you inquire, the registration shows the previous owner.  I'll bet Shawne S. Wise has no clue his/her old number is being used like this.  By the way, the call I got was to get 'life saving medical alert equipment --just press 1 to speak to a representative -- press 5 to be removed from the list (ya right).'

Best advice -- if you don't recognize the number don't answer.

FYI.  I'm on the Do Not Call List.  It doesn't seem to matter, these scammers call anyway.

Just received a call from 618-709-7644.  Number shows it is from Granite City IL.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I am on the DO NOT call list.

After recieving several of these calls I decide to hack the phone number...Low and behold they are using a VOIP changing the number ...Its the Republican National Party asking for donations...

Thinking it was an innocent wrong number becuse it actually gave a name, I answered.  A recording began, "If you are a senior citizen, you need to hear this....," or something close to that.  I hung up, annoyed with myself for falling for it.  The area code and prefix combination comes from E Saint Lewis, IL.  I googled Shayne Wise and none of them lived in Illinois, so the name and number may be spoofed.  The call might be politically-related - something about how the new health plan will affect seniors or how a candidate may affect Medicare - or he might just be trying to sell something to (or scam) seniors.

T, I spent so much time doing other things while this page was open (could have been 12 hours or more) that your post slipped in before I finished & posted mine.  So y'all can ignore mine..........sorry about that....

Please send e-mails to your State and Federal elected officials asking to introduce new legislation making caller id spoofing a crime - fraud, and request FCC on more aggresive actions against those callers.
Hopefully, they should be more receptive in ellection year.

I just received a call from this cell phone number (618) 709-7644. The person was quiet on the other end of the phone. Weird call.

if do not call would fine all of these bogus calls, it would help the financial crisis. i know how many we get from so many numbers.
