another # to be added to spam calls from 619-216-xxxx
receiving calls daily from various of these similar numbers as others have reported.
The call prior to this one had the same # except the last two digits were reversed 619-216-0567, and there are several complaints listed here about that #.
Suspect they are all from the same company which never leaves a message and all from Chula Vista.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.  

A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers.  Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.

The solar company that is calling you is spoofing the phone number and caller id. I know because the phone number 619-216-0576 is MY phone number and we have been receiving thousands of calls a day. We have had to unplug our phone. AT&T said they cannot do anything about it. How is this even legal???

It isn't.
Did you expect criminal telescammers to obey the law?

We can no longer believe the phone number we see on our caller IDs (CID) belongs to the person who called!  The bad guys are now using easily accessed technology to "spoof" the CID numbers, so their real number does not appear.

The problem has gotten so bad, the US government actually passed an Act, called "The Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009", making such spoofing illegal.  See http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing

The FCC adopted that Act in June, 2010, stating that violators could be fined up to $10,000 for each violation.

However, the bad guys are ignoring this law ... after all, they are criminals, and that is what criminals do.  Although we now have a "law" against spoofing, it is very difficult to enforce it.

So, if you see a CID number on your phone when you are called by some scammer or telemarketer, it might not belong to the scammer!  It might be the number of some unsuspecting third party ... or, it might be one of those numbers that charge $25 (plus about $9 per minute) if you call it back.

This is but one of many numbers from many area codes used by A1 Solar. These people should be in jail. That anyone would even think of doing business with them is inconceivable. Add this number to call block but they will be back with another number soon.

Receive daily calls from this number & it's disconcerting.  Any way to block it?  Hope so!  Thnx!!

Get calls like this all the time. Have blocked numerous numbers and then others pop up. I don't answer any calls unless I recognize the phone number. I have our contractors text me and I call them back. Ridiculous.

CID: Monica Desroche. Since I don't know the name, I don't answer

I have been relentlessly telemarketed by these poorly trained idiots. They attempt to harass me, and have tried to coerce the contact information of my family members to harass them instead.

Do a general google search for "California Green Energy Center" and you will find hundreds of others being harassed like this. Several people have been called "stupid", "idiot", employees have gloated about their fat paychecks, and there was even one reported call where an employee threatened to f**k the customer's wife.

Every time I received a call, I'd ask to be removed from their call list and that has clearly not been acknowledged. Constant hangups, the calls are not returnable, and despite their best efforts to hide behind really bad websites, I've found all this information about them.

ASKING THE TELEMARKETERS TO TAKE YOU OFF THE LIST WILL NOT HELP, but you can complain to "California Green Energy Center" directly and they will do so from the management level.

These people are knowingly telemarketing and caller ID spoofing. They are aware that their profits from doing so outweigh the fines they can expect from anyone that goes through the trouble of suing them and reporting them. There are many reviews and complaints out there from people whose elderly inlaws have been scammed into buying thousands of dollars of malfunctioning solar equipment. F*** these people. If you have the resources to, then take them to court. You will win. Give them hell!

When I called Top Design, they denied any connection to Solar Power until I claimed that I was already working with someone from the Green Energy Center. There's also a youtube video out there called "At work California green energy center 2014" and its description says "Top design, California green energy center".

Others have claimed the party responsible is Go Green Energy Center in North Hollywood. I doubt this, but their numbers are 818-358-2851 or 877-593-2995.

There are confirmed connections to A1 Solar Power Inc, Go Green Education, National Renewable Energy Center, California Energy Initiative, and California Solar Initiative.
