Looking for info on this number. Called my landline at 10:20 this morning. No caller ID other than "National City, CA". Didn't recognize, didn't answer.

Called my cell. No message left.

got a call from this number earlier this afternoon.... put it on your block list.

Called 3May2016 @6:57PM CID=Unavailable. This area code is blocked due to previous scammers. Judging by the low number of entries above it seems like an old spammer with a new spoofed number.

Called me today @ 6:53PM,  CID says "V" followed by a bunch of numbers, which aren't the phone number.  I'm with Annoyed Again, it does appear to be an old criminal scammer with a new spoofed number.  They let it ring at least 10 times, as I've disabled my voicemail due to these slimebags.  I didn't answer.  Thank you all for the info.

I blocked my number and called the number back. It's a google voice number -- standard recording says leave a message

Purpose of call: re;a program available for repair work on older homes. Asked age of home & how long had lived in it,but did not answer his questions. Said I did not need any work done & hung up. Answered phone to get purpose of call so could make a comment here about him & inform others.

Caller actually knew my real name - the one that my friends use - so i was fooled for a second.  But then they didn't say anything and didn't talk.  So i hung up and used my newest favorite thing - My Panasonic phone bought recently at Costco and it has a built in Call Blocker - Praise be.  Just push the button and that caller will only get one ring next time and then its gone forever.  My bad call; quantity has dropped considerably.  Wonderful!

Guy calls and says, "David?"  And then I say there's no one here by that name who's this?  And hangs up.

Same message: Knew my name. Wanted to know age of home. Representing home contractors. Told him I'd never pursue anything offered over the phone; he got rude saying he wasn't selling anything ... wouldn't shut up ... I hung up and blocked. Love my Costco phone too, Judge Nedley!

Played with the guy for a while.  He said he was calling from Kensington.  I said, Kensington what?  He said it was Kensington Solar and Home Improvement.  He gave me the old, "We just completed some work on your street....." bit.  Asked him which home.  Stuttered and then said he couldn't give me that information.  I told him to get lost.  5 minutes later called me back but I'd blocked him by then.  Isn't it strange that I can't find any Kensington Solar or Kensington Home Improvement Co anywhere?

I like your tactic a lot.  One of the best things you can do is to waste their time.

I meant the above post for yours....the best thing you can do is to waste their time.  That hurts them more than anything else that I can think of, short of a SWAT Team greeting of some kind, but that's not likely to happen.  So many of these jerks are in far off lands, anyway.

Just buy a Panasonic call blocking phone from Costco. You can blocks calls after the first time they call and it never even rings again.
