- JoeyReceived call to my cell phone from 619-645-4100. It was a representative from a bank called Union Bank of California.
- Caller: Union Bank of California
- Steven| 1 replyI received a call from them telling me that my card had been used for suspicious activity and that they were sending me a new one and gave me my previous address and asked if that was still my address. I responded no and she then proceeded to tell me to give her my pin in order to send me a new card i told her I would call the bank myself. I did and realized that the bank location and all offices were closed because today is MLK day. That number is a scam beware.

- Jenn replies to StevenThanks for posting this. I got this call today, was a little concerned as the number us usually comes up unkown name when the bank calls. I'll be reporting this to my bank tomorrow.
- AlBe very careful - person by the name of "Angela" states my computer is infected and she is with Union Bank - it's a fraudulent call.
- Caller: Union Bank (Not really)
- verifyToday I got a call on my cell and my land line from above number. The message left on my land line was so scratchy I could not understand most of what was said. I did catch something about fraud and to call 800-941-4100. I was suspicious and called the customer service number on the back of my debit card. The person I talked to did verify that that Union Bank Fraud Dept. was trying to call to report suspicious activities (3 of them) with my debit card. Lucky for me the account was really low on money. So if you get a call and they give you a number, my advice is to call the customer service number on your debit card or go to your local bank and check it out no matter which bank you have. I would not call the number they ask you to call. Fraud is rampant.
- Caller: Union Bank
- DanielleI got a call from this number in the morning and that evening when i went to use my card, it rang up as INVALID ACCOUNT NUMBER. I went online to find out what could be wrong and saw a charge to my account for $525 at DISNEY WORLDWIDE SERVICES. I was working in Poway CA all day!
- AndrewWe got a call from this number as well. I agree this sounds like a fraudulent call. They are taking advantage of Union Bank being off on MLK day and as a result attacking people for their information. If you get a call from this number don't give them any information and if you log online to see fraudulent transactions you should call the number on the back of your card tomorrow.

- JayI just received a call from this # and the story is identical to the above posting. Lady claimed to be calling from fraud dept and she had an alarming amount of info for a scam operation. Assuming mostly obtained from publicly available information. However, she had knowledge of an online transaction I made through Paypal the previous day. Still, called me on Sunday and honestly, I was typing in the phone number to check them out at the same moment I typed my PIN # into the phone. Felt unusual, but the info she gave sort of threw me off the potential scam angle. Will update this forum post when I learn the outcome of situation.
- NickI don't remember ever recieving a call from this number but recently my bank posted a $428 transaction to Disney worldwide services from my debit card.
- AaronI got this call and called Union Bank's real phone number from their website instead of the one left by the representative. They did indeed verify that it is a scam of some sort and that that phone # is definitely not theirs.
- Caller: NOT Union Bank (claimed to be)
- Paula MarshStated they were from Union Bank Fraud Management Services, and to call this number 1-800-941-8492, to verify last few atm transactions.
- Caller: Union Bank Fraud Management Services
- Waltster@wia.comI got a call from this number, sounded on the up and up. Very profession phone conduct. Said his name was John and calling from Union Bank of California, a name the bank no longer uses, they go by "Union Bank" only!!! Reporting possible fraudulent and or out of character charges ???? A call back number of 800 941-8492 as have other posters was given. No answer after 9PM PDT. No questionable charges noted by the way, Checked same day and later at night.

PS, will call bank branch Monday..........- Caller: Union bank of California
- EdSo, I got a call from this number this morning, didn't recognize it, looked it up here (800notes), and concluded it was some kind of scam. Later the same day I go to use my debit card at the supermarket and it doesn't work! "invalid account" or some such error. Call Union Bank (the 800 number on the back of my card) and they tell me that they've deactivated the card until they can verify some recent charges. I had recently withdrawn $500 cash in a city about 400 hundred miles away and I guess that triggered the deactivation. Anyway, after answering many multiple-choice personal info questions they re-activated the account and I was able to go about my day.
Conclusion: this number is Union Bank. If you don't believe me (and why should you?), just go ahead and call them back thru the 800 number on the back of your debit/credit card.- Caller: Union Bank
- Betty| 1 replyThis is completely legitimate. It is Union Bank's Fraud Department. They called to tell me someone had been using my card in Spain for some purchase and wanted to confirm that it was me. It was not me.
- Caller: Union Bank
- Tim replies to BettyIt is Union Bank. I took a trip out of town and used my ATM card to buy a few meals, so they blocked my ATM card. It took thirty minutes on the phone answering questions to get it unblocked. I think I'll change banks.
- AnnaI got a call from (619) 645-4100. A voice message was left. I called my branch office, and we went over my account. Nothing out of the ordinary at all. Tried calling back the (800) 941-8182 number just to check, and it tells me "not available from my calling area". So I tried the 8482 number people list on here, and it gives me something TOTALLY different! So i'm thinking that someone jacked the Fraud Management Services number and somehow gotten ahold of a list of Union Bank customers. Time for me to change banks!
- AngelaThis is the fraud dept. from Union Bank. The voice mail left clearly states you can return their call @ 800-941-8492 or call the # on the back of your debit card. I did both. Yes, the fraud dept. asks you personal questions to verify your identity. They have to, so they can confirm who you are. I then hung up & contacted my local branch, they confirmed all the same information including the questionable transactions, amounts and the last real transaction I did.
With all the identity theft, it is prudent to be careful, but neither the 619-645-4100 or the 800-941-8492 is a fraudulent # as of today. I also received and email telling me my card had been comprised. If you are ever in doubt, call your local branch and go through them to resolve the issue.- Caller: Union Bank Fraud Dept.
- MioA legitimate call from our bank verifying a wire that we initiated.
