I received a call from this number claiming to be Expedia, and I immediately hung up.  Within seconds after receiving this call, I wanted to check my e-mail to see if I received an e-mail from Expedia.  I saw an e-mail from cancunconcierge@bestday.com with the subject "Expedia Local Expert Concierge Benefits - Brenda".  The sender address does not have Expedia in it, which is a good sign this is a phishing scam.

I also got a call from this number, claiming to be Expedia Concierge by the name of Brenda. I never returned the call and I just listened to my voicemail. Somehow on my phone bill, it says that I called them! I know better than to call long distance and I would never do so on my cell phone. I got charged 55 cents for a 49 second call that I never made. This is really weird.

On 07/01/16 I received a call from this number. The man claimed to be an Expedia representative (local expert from Cancun). He asked me if I needed extra help for my upcoming trip. Also he mentioned the name of the hotel where we plan to stay. I did not provide with any personal information . This person added the shuttle van company staff and Expedia agents will be at the airport wearing white polo shirts (with Expedia/Travelocity logo). Please be aware of these scam/fraudulent calls. How come they get passengers personal information ? Who is responsible ? Not safe at all.

It is Expedia calling you.  I'm not really fond of a call...since I did booking all online they could send me an email and have me call if I needed anything further.  Get a call about 2 weeks from Expedia before every trip booked.  If you didn't use Expedia to book your trip then I'd be worried....If you used Expedia, of course they are going to know your phone number as well as the name of the hotel and shuttle service since they booked it for you...pretty common sense. You had to provide a phone number when you booked.   The shuttle service people and Expedia reps do wear white polo shirts at the airport. The scam you need to watch out for at the Cancun Airport is the people trying to sell you time shares disguised as helping you find your shuttle.  Get your bags, go thru customs, and out the door to your shuttle (and the people in the white polo shirts)

Roger with Expedia concierge. Very polite and just wanted to help. We leave for Mexico in 2.5 weeks. I told him I already had my transportation and excursions handled, but he could contact the hotel to verify our oceanview room and our full amenities access. He very kindly confirmed he would and would email me with the details. I think it's so nice of Expedia to offer this, free of charge, just for us booking through their website. =) He wasn't pushy at all, and that's probably what I liked the best out of it all.

Same as everyone above - left a message (I never answer an unrecognized caller).   His accent was so strong, I could only get that he was from Expedia, his name was Nicolas and this callback number that I won't be calling back:
