This guy (called himself "Peter Johnson") claimed to be SDGE (San Diego Gas and Electric) rep. He told us that we needed to pay for the June 2013 SDGE bill or he will come to cut off service in 1.5 hours. He asked for our cellphone number. Later we called SDGE and they told us this was a fraud. We paid our June bill on time. Caller called using telephone number (619)730-3443 from Chula Vista area at 3:53pm on 07/30/13.

SCAM! Said he was from SDGE and we were getting disconnected in 45min. I asked for him to fax me the bill (we are a business). He said he couldn't. I knew it wasn't legit so I told him to send the guy in my area in and I'd give him a personal check. lol

Just got a call from this guys yesterday. Same old "power will be turn off" scam. Just hang up of you see (619)730-3443 number.

Yes, he is a scammer. You need to be careful from him. He said our power will be cut off for electricity... BE CAREFUL. DO NOT SEND HIM MONEY.

Called my business claiming he was the disconnect department from SDGE.. FRAUD!

I received the same call today.  I knew our account was current.  When I asked for the billing department he said they that department doesn't take outside calls (right).  Thank god for Google.  Googled the number while on the phone with them and found it was a scam.  Told them I knew it was a scam and they are not getting me.  Geez.

YEAH same as the other posts called and said our electricity will be shut off in 45 mins if we dont pay our bill. LOL I knew we were current.told by boss to call the power company. he used the phone number on the bill they said we were current.Total scammers from 1-619-730-3443 said his name was andy at EXT 201 probably trying to get credit card #s. BEWARE!!

Had same call this morning, he had my address but not my suite number, I knew was fake and told him send the person to collect the payment and I'll waiting outside with the police officer, never show up, he's name was Ismael Martinez,

I got a call from 818-813-6612. The guy claimed to be from SDG&E.  Tried to rip my business off for $1500. Told me that he had to reimburse my payment that I had made 2 weeks ago but I had to pay the payment in cash today.  I have been calling the guy back all day!!
