This number calls and no one is there and will not speak. When I called the number back it says," You've reached a number that's disconnected or no longer in service." Really? How can that be?

The number displayed in the caller id is faked/spoofed.

Well the spoofers are using this number again. I screwed up and answered, it was a recording, sorry I did not listen to it.

Called my cell phone just a few minutes ago with a recording about "home loan modification" and saying to press 1 for more information. I pressed 1 to tell them to take my cell number off of their list and that it is against Federal Law for them to be calling cell phones. There was a long silence before some guy answered without identifying himself, but asking I wanted information about home loan modification. When I said, "What I really want is for you to take my CELL PHONE number off your list and it's against Federal Law for you to be calling cell phones," this yo-yo simply hung up. My next step after I submit this report is to report this to my telephone carrier.

No one on the other end, called back and it said the number was disconnected.
