This number displayed on caller ID.  Didn't answer.  Left no message.  Called it back and got thed recording informing me that this # is not in service.

Answered the call, it's a computerized voice being run by a live agent (at least I'm fairly certain that's the case) It's to accurate to be voice recognition but not accurate enough to be an actual person. I asked several times to speak to their manager. Rep wouldn't let me and eventually they HU on me. They said they were calling about an app that they wanted me to download and rate or something like that.

The same thing happened to me just now. They almost sounded computerized themselves. I asked what app did I download Nicole employee#258 said she did not know. Then, she said in order to get my $100 gift card and my $50 restaurant card she will transfer me to the shipping verification team. I must answer "yes" when they ask if she handled the call well. I said, Nicole can I get your phone number? She repeated her name and her employee ID..No, your phone number, I repeated. She said, "Please hold and I will transfer you." When the people got on to verify my address, which I am sure would have then wanted a Visa card number for the S&H, they asked how she did, and I said instead of "yes" I said sort of, fully intending to explain that she never answered my question about her phone number, Instead of listening they said, "oh I'm sorry to hear that" click. LOL. Crazy stuff. Scam for the call? I don't care, because it is a work phone, but per minute charges? Or why wouldn't they continue to fish for the Visa if it was a scam?

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. They said they got my number from an app I had installed and wanted me to rate it or something like that. She said I had to listen to offers to be able to get $100 and a $50 gift card to somewhere. The voice was an asian voice practically screaming at me and the person wouldn't stop talking so I was talking over them saying "stop talking and remove me from your call list, I'm not doing this". Really hope they don't call back because they did nothing but waste my cell phone minutes and my time.

I just got a call from the number and it went through the same you downloaded an app. After they told me i had to say yes to the question i told them i didnt have a debit or credit card and they didn't say anything. They quickly hung up.  I called the number back and says not in service so i looked up the number. The site i went to couldn't find anything registered to anyone.

caalled every min for over two hours. a man with asian accent. tied up our business all afternoon.
finally had to disconnect phones. isnt this illegial. checked number our. came from Alameda Ca
salt lake city, national city ca.. many different locations yet same individual. if we call back number
has been disconnected. no way in hades can a nbr be disconnected in threee seconds

Called number and didn't leave a message, so I called on my work phone and it was a recording.

This number just called me showing that it was from San Diego, CA but when I picked up no one answered.

I just received a call from this number and wen I answered nobody said anything!

That just happened to me ( may I add not the first time this number called me) I did some asking around, it mite be a way to find out if some one owns ( your number) so they can sell your number to advertisers and marketing agency! I never answer calls that I don't know, IF its important then the people who knows me knows to leave a MESSAGE!! Be careful All! Now a days people can use anything to get your personal info!! ( depending which State THEY ARE calling From, not where u are at).

They called my business number.  Once they were informed of that, they disconnected.

They called I didn't answer! Left no message! I don't answer numbers I don't know!!

Received a call from 619-900-1648 at approximately 17:48 on February 19, 2014. Nicole was the employee who's ID # is 258? Wants to send a $100 gift card and $50 of some other [***] because I downloaded an app, but check it, I have a basic phone with no app capabilities (especially because no apps can be downloaded). She couldn't tell me who I was, just my phone number. Eventually I was transferred to Sarah with the Accredited Computerized Company? who wants to ask my address to ship a product. Hung up the phone...

I got a call from 619-900-1648....did not answer.  A voice mail was left...a woman saying,"Hello?  Sir, I can't hear you...are you still there?  Sir?"  Today...I got a call from 619-900-1650...didn't answer and a voice mail was left...the same woman saying the exact same things in the exact same way.

Text free is the culprit.

What is Text Free? I tried to google it but the only thing that I can find is a website where you can text from your computer.

They said they want to send "samples" and have me rate them, along with a $100 gift card and a $50 restaurant gift card.  Asked for name, mailing address... and then wanted credit card info to pay a $1.95 fee for "taxes and shipping."  When I said I wasn't interested, she told me that by law, if I agreed, I would only be responsible for the $1.95 fee, not any fradulent charges to my credit card.  Sorry, but if you call me, I'm not giving you my CC info over the phone.  Duh.

I received a phone call from this same number you are discussion.  However, TextFree is NOT the culprit.  I do not have that application, nor have I ever had it.  Now, like many of you, I did not answer nor did they leave a message.  I do not answer phone calls from telephone numbers I do not recognize.  I would be suspicious and very careful.  I always, always, always look up unknown numbers.  I am certain it is a scam.  The last thing they need is a "live voice" answering the call to give them motivation to continue calling.  

i have been listing items for sale on craigslist used my google voice number a few times and later on used my cell phone number for a call back number on my adds, this number 619-900-16xx has called both my numbers leaving me to believe they got my number though craigslist, anyhow i noticed they call alot changing the last 2 digits of there phone number - id say they are some kind of scammer !!!
