They keep calling and calling, but leave no message when it goes to voice-mail. Figured out who it was, as they have called from several different area codes and numbers. Had those kind of calls where I used to live and they were selling tickets for a concert. Went to a few and they were great! But then I find out, the money ISN'T going where they say...and not even necessarily kept in state, so you're NOT helping them like they say when they give their speech. It's more for the event they'll selling you on. I didn't regret the concerts, but think they should have been honest about where the money was truly going. (that it's not being used for your local police force widows, kids, etc., as they claim).
More of a 'sales' call than 'telemarketer' but didn't have that option, since they might be using home phones to make calls to make it sound more legit.

The caller was attempting to collect donations for the Fraternal Order of Police.

telemarketer claiming to be a police offical.  look them up on charity check, about 90% of money goes to admin costs.

These are a bunch of fools that are begging for monetary donations on behalf of the Police.  Funny thing is that NONE OF THEM are in Law Enforcement!!!  When I asked what percentage of the donations were received by the Police and what percentage is used as "administrative and other costs" it is clear this is a rip off scam.  I then asked if they donated their income to their own cause, and the answer was NO.  I asked if I could be removed as easily as I got on their list.  I also informed them I am on the Federal No-Call List for a reason!  Anyone with a small amount of intellect should figure out if you signed up to not be harassed by telemarketers, this means ALL FORMS of marketing.

Call came from Kansas (620) to Kansas (913) at 10:58 hours on 6-4-10. Call not answered and no message left.

The called ID said "Kansas FOP". This is, of course the Fraternal Order of Police hitting for donations.

This is the Kansas Fraternal Order of Police & they are basically seeking donations.

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Kansas State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.kansasstatefop.com, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Kansas police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

As I picked up the phone, I heard voices, then silence by the time I got it to my ear.  I said hellow twice, nothing.  Then I told them I was on the no call list and to not call.  At that point heard the phone hang up.  CID said Kansas FOP
