Received call from (622) 000-2895 stating I should call immediately to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  I pushed their designated info number and the person on the other end asked if I was calling to lower my interest rate. I said no, but wanted to know what credit card they were calling for - no response --asked again, what credit card of MINE was she calling about, she then just hung up!  Darn - wanted to give her a piece of my mind ---scam - scam - scam......  do not fall for it!

Unknown credit card company- No way of them knowing whether or not a person even has a credit card or if they are a minor and would have no idea of what an interest rate is or should be.

They called. They hung up. They didn't leave a message. Annoying.

Most area code look-up listing sites either do not include 622 or assume it's a fake code used by some scammer. However, I found the following site that lists it to Mexico:

    http://www.medtogo.com/mexico-area-codes.html

    Otherwise, "I know nothing!"

Initially got a recording about lowering the interest on my credit cards.  I was instructed to press 9 if I was interested, and did so for the purpose of telling the caller to take my name off of their lists.  A gentleman answered and asked me if I was interested in lowering the interest on my Visa or Mastercard.  I asked what company they were representing.  The gentleman then referred to me as a female (I am male) and when I corrected him, I was immediately hung up on.  I tried to *69 to ask that they take my number off of their lists, but this was not possible.  I dialed the number directly and received the message that the number was unavailable or had been disconnected.

I guess I'm joing the long line of people who the scammers are trying to rip off from 622-000-2895. I refuse to answer the phone when I don't know the caller or ph#, if there happens to be oneI even got a call at 9:20 on 7/27 where the called was unavailable and so was the ph#. I answered that one and when I told the woman who was calling she couldn't call people after 9:00 at night she had the nerve to tell me she had the right to call anytime she wanted. I want to know why the government is enacting laws to stop these callers?

Did not answer and they did not leave a message on August 27, 2010 at 12:43 p.m. Mpls. time.
What would happen if you did decide to give them a "fake" credit card number and get them all excited about lowering your rate when you don't even have a credit card.  Maybe we should all start giving THEM scam numbers to play with?  Just a thought.

10/27/2010 8:11 PM Central - Call with spoofed CallerID (Unknown Name 622-000-2895) - Recorded message offerring to "lower my credit card rate" stated they were "Credit Card Services" - press 9 to speak to a rep.
My number has been on Do Not Call for years. Complaint filed (for what good it does, considering the fake number.)

I just received a call from "Card Member Services." Number was 1-622-000-2895. I have gotten several of these in the past, but haven't for a while. Each time I try to get as much info from them as possible (b/c it is a complete scam). This time I pushed 9 to connect to a live operator & asked what the name of their company was. She promptly hung up on me. Yeah, nothing says "I'm a legit business" like hanging up on potential customers. Seriously though, can't these scam artists get shut down?!!?

I keep receiving messages from this group. They always hang up when I ask who they are and why they are calling me. Will not allow me to ask to be taken of the list of people to call.
