Constant calls from this number.  I've asked them to stop, but they don't.  As I rent my water heater from Direct Energy, I do have some retribution.  I intend to call them, tell them to remove the water heater and I'll buy my own.  I'll be certain to let them know that it was due to their harrassing phone calls that they have lost my business.

I got a call from this number wishing to speak to who ever deals with the natural gas bills.

Fine. What I dont understand is why a US based company is calling a Canadian for. I am not going to go through any hassles with borders/importing etc. My info isnt going to help you if you are doing surveys.

Feels like a hoax to me.

I got a call from this number today at about 11:45am.  Please everyone be careful.  I work in telecommunications and there is a scam currently running where they keep you on the line and are able to make LD calls from your number.  I don't know if this is what this call is about for sure but I wouldn't answer the phone just to be sure.

I got this call now 2 days in a row, 1st they said "am i responsible for the gas service" i said no, They call back today and said nothin' I work in the same building for as direct energy and a few other gas providers. I will see what she says next time

I called them back and they said they work for a Group called THe AGR Group, I asked them why they are calling Canada, they said they work on behalf of Direct Energy and Emax, which is in the same building I work at. So i will look into this further and see if its legit.

Another call from these people and two last night. Will they just stop calling already

Received a call that hung up when the answering machine turned on. the number is 623-238-6208. I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Called the number and got AGR group. Here is some info I found..maybe it's time we gave them a taste of their own medicine. I have listed a company directory below. One of the co-founders of this company is Adolfo Quintero. His email address is adolfo@agrgroupinc.com. I think we should all send him a note on how thrilled we are with their service. I'm guessing other email addresses in the company also use first names (ie matt@agrgroupinc.com for matt judkin, the CEO & co-founder or Herb@agrgroupinc.com for herb Zerden, the CFO & co-founder) Heck, doesn't cost anything to try!!

Just ignore all of em.  they're like the thugs that come to the door ... u know the ones.  they scare the hell out of older people, (& us middle aged folk :)scam both old and young into switching their energy provider ... DON'T DO IT.  i've become a real beeatch when they catch me in person and don't bother pickin up the phone.  do not call requests don't seem to change a damned thing.
oh yeah, i'm in windsor ontario.  must be on some list.

I'm in Toronto.  We've been getting these calls for weeks too!  Spent several hours will Bell trying to find out how to block this one # (we have call privacy & an unlisted #!!!); all info given didn't work so I've now emailed Bell.  Scrolled through this site & found the list of phone #'s posted by "Annoyed - March 10".  So, I decided to call -- its 9:13 PM!  Called the 1-800 #; says I've reached customer service; I pressed "0"; repeat of the message so then I pressed the CEO's extension & he answere "YEAHHHHH??"  Told him we've getting daily calls from his company - he said give me the phone # & I'll make sure its removed.  Asked who I was speaking to, he said "Matt", I said "Judkins?" - he sounded surprised that I knew!  Told him I'm calling from Canada & MANY people up here are annoyed by the numerous calls.  Again he said if I give him my # he'll remove it.  Told him someone tried that but they still got calls!  I said I'll take it up with my phone company and NOW, I have your number!

Every time they continue to call, I'm going to call him!  TWICE!!

Do you think this has anything to do with the recent theft of Bell data??

I, too, have been receiving these annoying telephone calls almost daily, now! Living in the Ottawa region in Canada, I thought it was odd since the calls did come from Arizona! This routine has been going on for the last couple of weeks, the most recent call occuring today! Of course, not a word is spoken on the answering machine or when I pick up the phone myself!
This is getting to be quite a nuisance!

I live in Kingston, Ontario, and I've been getting these calls daily for the past week or so, the latest not 20 minutes ago! I guess I didn't put together that they were all from the same place, but I've gotten the:

1.)Phone rings with no one on other end autodialer
2.)Mumbling like a headset got left on a desk or something, and
3.)Hello this is Direct Energy blah blah...

I'm going to try the "This residence doesn't use gas." thing. >:[

just wanted to let all of you know that I USED to work at the "Energy group" or whatever they are so cleverly calling themselves, and they are a call center for Direct Energy in Canada. That being said i think it is a total ripoff and I am so sorry that you all are forced to endure these calls over and over, the actual agents are not aware of how many times you are called, it is the manager who puts the numbers in the auto dialer.  Jimmy or Steve!!!! So the next time they call you, just ask to speak to "jimmy" that will get them!!! Since no-one knows he exists!! ha ha!!! He is the quote on quote "Director of Sales" any more questions you may have, please ask, i will be happy to help. Sorry to say, i worked there quite a while. Once again I apologize...I had no idea.

The reason there is not a message is because they are not allowed to leave one. I honesetly had no idea that the phone calls were that often and that persistant. Once again i do apoplologize!!!!

at least once a week i get a call on my sell phone from this number. I decided to serch the number on google and this is what i found atleast im not alone. BUt this iz messssssed up i never pick up but i would really like them 2 stop. Oh and i live in Toronto like some of the other people
