I received an automated phone call from this phone number today and the voice was a woman's with an obviously fake British accent asking for me. Figuring it was a telemarketer I pressed "2" in order to claim that they had the wrong number but as soon as I did that the call was disconnected. I have no idea who it might be or what they might want. The company name they gave was unitelligible and since I received the call on my cell phone only their number was displayed on the Caller ID.  If anyone can offer some insight I would greatly appreciate it.

I had the exact same thing happen. I tried calling back the number, but as soon as someone finally gets round to answering the call, they hang up.

Am reporting them to the atty general's office today.

This is a collection agency named Source Resource Management (Source RM). They are based in Greensboro, NC. Their mailing address is PO Box 4068 Greensboro, NC 27404. Their physical adress is 3859 Battleground Ave # 303 Greensboro, NC 27410-9802. Corporate phone number is (336) 286-3111.

They claim to be collecting for SBC, but I have never had dealings with that company or their affiliates.

I got a phone call from these people this Am and they hung up as soon as I pushed 2.  Thanks for telling me who they are and I to have no idea SBC is.

Source RM appears to be a bottom feeder dealing at least to some degree in junk debt.  

They are aggressive callers and use Broadvoice communications.  They are unswayed by the truth in caller id act, and your caller id will normally have either a city name, or "Broadvoice", the name of their phone carrier.  

If you try to call them back, you may appear not to get through, although it is more likely that they are just creating the appearance of a failed call. Your call may be logged by their computer. If you get a person, it is difficult to get any information from the collectors, but the info you need is posted below.
