Rec'd call on my cell phone at 7:07pm. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I called back and got a VM "Thank you for calling the fundraising center, we are unable to take your call at this time...."

Got a call.  Let it ring.  How the heck do I keep getting these calls?  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Because these people keep bugging me, you bet I would never, ever, ever even think of donating to them!  Seriously!  This is unreal.

Telemarketers doing a fund raiser. Do not call them back, do not answer the phone. If they know they've got a "live" number, they'll sell your number to other scammers and hackers.

Shirley, they keep calling because they're robo-dialing. They start with your area code, then 111-0000 and go through the entire number list to 999-9999, and then they start another area code. It's all computerized.

Robo-dialing does not involve calling 10 million phone numbers per area code, as you have incorrectly suggested.  They use verified and unverified call lists of real phone numbers.

Yes, they will likely sell to other scammers, but hackers don't pay for information.  They steal it.  Otherwise, they wouldn't be hackers, they'd be brokers.

Which is what the auto-dialer does as it sweeps through all possible numbers !

Smart scammers probably have a list of government numbers to never call, though. Like the police.
And lists of the companies that have installed the menus that require callers to push buttons to get to a certain department or person. Waste of scammer time to be calling those numbers.

All other numbers are up for calling.

Called my cell phone. Asked for Mario.  Told them they had the wrong number then she said oh, maybe you can help me then went into a spiel about a breast cancer charity. Cheaters.  They are reprehensible.

The Breast Cancer Society in Mesa, Arizona is a complete scam. They were supposedly shut down by the feds in May 2015 for fraudulent fund-raising, but it appears as though they're still at it. The administrators of the "charity" hired boiler room telemarketers to call people, then they would pocket the money after sending about 5% (if that much) to cancer patients. Don't fall for it.

I recieved a call from 623-499-9023 at approximately 5:20pm and was unable to answer. When I called it back there was a VM that said "Thank you for calling the fundraising center, we are unable to take your call at this time. For more options, please press nine". When I pressed 9 it said to press 1 to opt out. there were other options. I also noticed numerous times when I called, I got a busy tone. This was when I called directly after recieving the call.

Received call at 11:09 pm Eastern time. Did not answer, no message left. I am on the do not call registry but that clearly does not stop these jerks from calling at all hours of the night.

Got a call at 7:03 pm on 10/20/15. Breast Cancer Society begging for donations. I don't make donations over the phone.
