Received a phone call stating that I owed them over a thousand dollars. I explained that there is no way I owed that much, I had a secure credit card and I had cancelled the card. I informed them that the credit card I was issued I could only use at certain locations. I was told that I had a outstanding balance. I once again explained that it is impossible to have a outstanding balance because it was a secured credit card, the only money on the card would be money I have already paid. I was told that then that I might be able to settle for 300 dollars. Why would I pay for something that I cancelled and had no outstanding balance.

They have been hounding me for months, calling my office, even calling our corporate legal department asking for information about me.  They don't say what they want, they use several different phone #'s to call from, and they always say that they are going to "serve" me with a law suit if I don't call, and that I should call and refer to a case #.  I don't owe anyone anything, not on a credit cards, nothing.  As my name is common I am guessing that they are fishing looking for the "right" person.  I NEVER call them back.

This is a call from a collection agency that claims I owe them $5000 from a payday loan I took out in England. Never been there in my life. Bottom feeder scum. They make threats. I wish there was something that could be done to this garbage but guess no. Hopefully someday dishonest bill collectors will die and rot in hell.
