Called my office phone.  I answered... and they didn't.  I'm seeing a trend with calls like this lately.  Seems like an awful waste of our resources sending out bogus phone calls like this every day.

This call is a recording concerning "the economic stimulus program."  I did not listen beyond the first 10 seconds or so.  The call does not seem legitimate.

got the same number on my messages, ... said I had a message from 626 273 8219 and all it was, was dead air.  I was waiting for a callback about work and missed the call because I was phoning this +&*^%$ number back!!!

Same problems- this time they dialed using the following number 011016262738219.  I don't know what the problem is but I'm gonna take this up with the AG in NY

This number calls my office 3 times a day...or more. When answersed it starts in on the "economic stimulus program:".  However the caller ID says HELP...

Calls about credit card rate reduction.  I press one and ask who they are and they hang up. Tell them to stop calling and they hang up. Get one call a week.

8/28/09 @ 10:48 AM PDT - received a call from 626-273-8219.  It was an automated message saying this was concerning an existing Visa card account I have.  I waited to talk to a rep.  The male rep that came on the line was an American (not an outsourced call center) and was horribly rude.  I asked the company name, he replied "Trans America".  So I said the message said it was about one of my existing accounts.  He said they "modify" the loans.  I said a Visa card is not a loan, but a revolving line of credit.  Its different.  He started asking personal and detailed questions, including how much I owe.  I told him it was none of his business.  He didn't like that and hung up on me as I was requesting to be put on the do not call list.  I called back at 10:50 AM PDT and selected the automated option to be put on the DNC list.  We'll see if that helps, but I seriously doubt it.

Is there anything we can do about this? I get these calls twice a day. I've also had a similar experience with rude a$$holes whenever i tell them to get me the F&%# off the calling list.

They will keep calling you!!!When you call to be put on the DNC list they just call you on a different number. They switched from 702 520 9126 to 626 273 8219. Now they will switch to an other number when I block this one. I have had over 20 phone calls from these #$%%$%%^. Why can't something be done abut this??
