Why was it weird?

Said I am being sued by Capital One credit card debt took my debit card info now I wish I didn't give it away

IMPORTANT: this is a shady outfit which changes its "name", calls from blocked numbers, and claims to be from a company that is not searchable on the internet. Why do they do these things? Because they don't want you to know that they have no leverage and are trying to collect on debt they bought for pennies on the dollar which has either already been paid or is outside the SOL.

They will leave messages with scary terms like "attorney", "case file", "process server" and rattle off some personal information about you to appear as legit and threatening as possible. They may call your office asking for you, and use terms like those mentioned with your co-workers and ask them to pass along the info in an attempt to try and shame/embarrass you (and call them back). They may indicate a "process server is coming tomorrow" in hopes you will call back today. Now ask yourself: what actual process server EVER announces their visit ahead of time? It's a bluff.

Just ignore these people: don't answer the phone and if you do (after all, sometimes we do answer blocked numbers) certainly don't waste your time reasoning or arguing with them. They are simply trying to bully you out of your money.

Some female going by the name Diane Miller called my fiance',and older sister and asked for my ex wife. Used the term legal department. Said I supposedly took out a loan several years ago and I had to pay them $35,0000 on a $65,000 loan. LOL
These rookies are pathetic and probably feed off of the elderly with their scams. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE CLOWNS. THEY ARE MERELY LEACHES.

a rep going by the name Diane Miller called my brother from 626-537-2298 so I called to find out what she really wanted, since she was claiming to be from a legal department . She asked who I was so I informed her . She went on to say that she spoke with my brothers wife- only he's not married. After getting into a heated argument ( yelling match ) i told the b not to call my family and hung up. She then called back from an unknown number and tried to use the fact that the phone call was being recorded. LOLOLOL. I replied with the anger from just losing my father and told that b I didn't care what the EF she was recording . She put me on hold..I called back the initial number and the idiot picked up and started arguing where we left off before she put me on hold! What ignorance! Why would you call me back with an unknown number , but then pick up the phone when I call the number from the very beginning!!???? NOT SMART. JUST AS STUPID AS THEIR CON. Go read a book on scamming bc these idiots must have read Scamming For Dummies.
