This is a newspaper scam. They are not even in my county.  If I want a subscription to a paper, I call the company directly.  These people use several numbers and do not identify the company they work for.  They leave no message either.  If you call them, they will not give you the name of their company.  I am on the do not cal registry.

Legitimate call regarding a newspaper subscription.  They had an old billing address and we never got the bills, so it was a helpful call.  

Caller ID comes up as "LANG" calls several times during the week but leaves no message, WTF !

they called and say thank you for subscribe with us. i didn't subscribe to anything. so they ask to hold for CS.
I was on hold for 10 minutes and then hang up.
Block them.

LANG is the Los Angeles Newspaper Group, which publishes the Los Angeles Daily News, the Long Beach Press-Telegram, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, the San Bernardino Sun, the Redlands Daily Facts, and a handful of others.

I believe this is a legit call, I recently signed up to get the Daily News from a student, it sounds like they are confirming that I am receiving the paper. I was glad for the call

Legit call from newspaper reminder about subscription  (too expensive)

Received a call, upon answering no one spoke but I could hear talking in the background.  Hit *69 and 1 and recording advised call was unable to be connected. Called the number from my cell & was informed it was the Star News. We do subscribe to this paper....not for much longer. I informed them I DO NOT APPRECIATE calls of this nature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Ben for the info, I posted my original complaint in Sept and to present Lang still calls several times a day and no message. So I Blocked Them

This number called and left a voicemail about a newspaper subscription. I am not subscribed to any newspapers. Not a real caller!

Also received 2 calls, yesterday and today on my cell, also a do not call number. 1st call said I subscribed to orange county register, which I did not and don't want. Odd phone number is 626 and not 714 which would be the correct county. Looks like a scam.

Didn't subscribe to Any Paper.
Do not get it confused with any real subscriptions you might have.

I did read about Robo calls attempting to take voice recordings?

They left a message saying they are calling to confirm my subscription. I do NOT have any newspaper subscription. I couldn't understand the name of the supposed newspaper, which was mentioned at the end of the robocall voicemail. Seems to be something like LADM or LADN.

caller is from Press Enterprise (Inland Empire area). rcvd gift subscription for newspaper from Groupon. Sent call to voice message. got automated voice message inquiring about their delivery service. (inquiry)

Message left saying, "sorry I missed your call.  Calling to confirm your Sunday subscription to the Orange County Register."
I did not call, nor subscribe.  Extra phishy scheme.  Total BS.
