Yes, I also receive calls from this company called "Equinaire" few weeks ago, and attend one of their seminar. It is all scam.  They claim they are no multi-level marketing company, but want you to pay a huge membership fee in order to start "Building Your Wealth".  Then they will show you how to refinance your own home and take out the equity to use it on buying other real estate for investment. I did some research and found out that all the companies and services you are using is all owned by their CEO "Kwame Granderson". Think about it, all the risk is upon you, not them. You pay the membership fee to join their program, then you provide your house for refinance using their "in house" mortgage which they will make fees on it, then you're stirring into the direction of buying property they provide, and once again, using their "in house" mortgage. Finally, you are a landlord, then you need a good property management company to find tenant for you and management the property for you. There are fees to pay again.  So everyone, be cautious and be aware, they are making all the commission and fees from you, and you're taking all the risks including taking out the equity of your home which will increase your monthly mortgage payment, and getting another mortgage for the property you buy from them.

Another funny thing I found out about is that their "Weath building" concept is very very similar to another company called "Nouveau Riche University", and Quinaire Inc. actually register this concept as their trademark.  You gotta to know that Nouveau Riche came out with this idea in year 2000, but Equinaire was founded in year 2003. So this is not their original ideas, Equinaire is stolen ideas from other company, too.

What?  Did you actually attend the Equinaire seminar?  I did and they are not a multi-level company.  They find the deals.  You don't have to become a member (which is not a huge fee) but can just pay them a small finder's fee for the properties.  That's fair and they charge less than most other companies.  They do everything for people who don't have the time or knowledge...they find the deals and present them to you, they help you with the financing (if you want), they renovate the properties and then provide property management services (their fees are average or less than industry).  I'm talking with them now on a bulk-purchase deal.  They are professional and no hype.  I don't think you really understand real estate investing.  Also, that Nouvelle Riche group is only an education service that charges thousands of dollars WITHOUT doing any work.  Good luck to you --you'll need it!

What seminar did you attend? Apparently not the same one I did. Equinaire is definitely NOT multi-level marketing - Nouveau Riche definitely IS. I paid $16k for Nouveau Riche's "University" several years ago and learned some valuable things. The problem is they don't put people in deals. In fact they take your money without pre-qualifying you to see if you can even BUY anything.

My neighbor joined Equinaire the same time I joined NR, and he now has 5 investment properties.

Wow that funny I thought the same thing until I really sat down with the people from equinaire, and fully understood what it was that they were selling. It wasn't books or tapes it was knowledge. The thing that I find unique about this company is that they will literally furnish a real deal in ninety day or u get a full refund of ur start up fee. If they can guarantee me that they can find properties in today’s market with $100k in built in equity at the time of close that all I true care about is the guarantees! Don’t let someone else be ur dream stealer. Investigate for urself.

Ken I'm guessing you work for Nouveau Riche. Isn't NR a MLM?

I agree, that I don't think Equinaire is a scam.  BUT, I don't think they offer any extraordinary opportunity or system either.  The "all-in-one" approach does appear to be beneficial, to someone with little or no experience, but I don't believe the deals are as great as they appear.  To be clear, I don't think this is intentional.  But I have researched 7-9 deals, which they have had listed on their website.  And I have found very very few to be even average deals, and some, did not appear to be a deal.  I guess it depends on what someone considers to be a deal.  You have to be extra careful in the current volatile market.

Kwame was pushing the Inland Empire, which saw a huge decline in values in the past few months alone.  So, I imagine alot of their recent buyers/investors, are either in an equity neutral or negative position now.  And things aren't getting any better, they are going to be worse.  I don't think they are as informed on the market as they present themselves to be.

Equinaire is a "SCAM"! They bilked me out of thousands of dollars in miscellaneous repair fees at my rental. Being the rental is quite a distance from my primary residence, I did not have time to leisurely go by everyday and fix any problems which may have arisen. However, when I did, I found that I found I had paid for work which was never completed. When I confronted the property management company about it, the office manager cussed me out, called me names and told me I could no longer be a member of their property management group. Bottom line, DON'T TRUST THEM TO DO THE WORK! When you check up on the services you are paying for, they turn it around and say, " You need to trust us" I was told, " You are a pain in the ass!" Solely because they did not do work they were contracted to do.
